Wanting to support my local, privately owned and run business, I took my Citizen Eco-Drive watch in for an assessment of "is it worth me getting it repaired? Or do I replace it?"
According to them the watch would cost hundreds of pounds to fix and is probably best replaced - "and I have a nice one here for you at a very reasonable price". The watch has "little or no value".
Luckily I sought a second opinion! An approved Citizen repairer cleaned it, gave it a good going over, fixed it, tested it, certified it and finished it within three working days. At a very reasonable price.
My local, privately owned and run business had one chance to impress me - and they blew it!

These guys are really very good. They've repaired several items for me (rings, bracelet etc). Really great quality and good comms from beginning to end. I also inquired after a particular style of antique bracelet that I was looking for - as if by magic the guy popped out the back of the shop and returned with exactly what I was looking for :)

I had a great experience with Parish at Goodleys recently. Went in looking for a very small and specific gold ring, having been to 3 other jewellers with no luck. They had exactly what I was looking for, and done me a great deal to have another ring resized and polished. This was done within hours and had both rings on my fingers the same day. Parish was even good enough to recommend a local tailor who I’ve also used to adjust some trousers. Service here you won’t find in other jewellers. Will be going back

Quoted £25 to repair chain clasp - Charged £40. Took 5 minutes to complete.
RIP OFF avoid.

Absolutely overwhelmed with joy at the most beautiful gold & platinum pendant & antique chain that was designed & fabricated to create the most stunning memorial jewellery from my darling husbands diamond wedding/anniversary ring complete with ashes incased within forevermore ❤️ A video of which I gratefully received as a keepsake to show our beautiful grandchildren where & how their darling grandads ashes were included within the pendant for us to keep & wear for always

I have been using this excellent shop for years. Always helpful, always knowledgeable and always provide a superb service. They are highly recommended. And for the record, I live in Central London and always take my watch issues to them in Egham. I think that says it all.

The staff at Goodleys were very helpful and worked hard to get my jewellery restoration turned around very fast to meet a deadline. The results look great and were on time. I'm very happy with their professional attitude and service.

Mr. Goodley was professional, sympathetic and efficient in equal parts in cutting off TWO rings embedded in my finger. Damage to the rings minimal and repairable. Damage to my flesh. Zero. The relief. Priceless.
