I had my engagement ring designed and made by Shimmel and Madden and I love it! Emma was great to work with. We wanted a green Australian sapphire and she found us a selection to choose from so we could find the perfect stone for the ring. All their designs are beautiful (check out their Instagram) and Emma was more than happy to customise the design so it was just how we wanted it. She was really easy to contact and kept us updated about the progress of the ring which was finished earlier than promised. We couldn't be happier the the result!

I had the most wonderful experience with Shimell and Madden; Emma and Luke took on the challenge of creating a beautiful and unique bespoke engagement ring for my partner, using an heirloom piece of jewellery.
From start to finish, the process was enjoyable and stress free. My initial email was answered so quickly, and I was able to go in for an appointment very soon after, with Emma fitting nicely around my working hours. From the initial consultation, I felt so involved in the design process, with no pressure to go one way or another. From the initial sketches drawn up at our consultation, Emma sent me some mock ups and was 100% transparent about prices. The images were so realistic that they really helped to bring what we'd spoken about to life.
Emma listened to my suggestions and feedback, despite my wanting a mixture of two designs and seamlessly integrated them together, to create the final piece. Then all I had to do was choose the additional stones and wait for the magic to happen.
I was advised of the wait period for the ring to be commissioned, and was thrilled to hear that it was ready bang on time. When I saw the ring, I was speechless- it was just as the plan had shown, and was such a unique and beautiful piece.
When I finally popped the question, my fiancé was blown away by the uniqueness and touched that the ring had been made from a sentimental ring, in a way that was just for her. Everybody comments that it is unlike anything that they have every seen before, that it suits my fiancé completely, and they love the story of how it was made.
I really can't recommend Shimell and Madden enough - their design, craftsmanship and professionalism made the most daunting question I have ever asked in my life so much easier. Resizing was a breeze, and their aftercare offer really fills me with so much confidence. I can't thank you guys enough!

I get an unbelievable number of compliments on my Shimell and Madden ring — many tell me it’s the most beautiful ring they’ve ever seen! While I agree 10000%, that amuses me because we spent half of what some of our friends did. It’s because they’re such brilliant designers and craftsmen, they could make even the most overlooked gemstone look like a show-stopping piece of art. We live in LA, a city with no shortage of bespoke jewelers but after weeks of research we decided there was nobody quite like Shimell and Madden. Emma made this process so easy. We received timely emails with detailed explanations and recommendations, accompanied by photos and videos of every gemstone. For a busy small business, they managed to make us feel like we were their top priority, even being so many miles away. I really cannot emphasise just how brilliant this company are. An incredible and rare combination of care, clarity, friendliness, openess, honesty, quality and attention to detail. I emailed with a lot of questions in search for an engagement ring, and Emma greeted all of my questions and requests with enthusiasm, and really guided me through the whole process. Even as I asked for tweaks along the way, she was clear and honest in her assessment and ability to fulfil these asks of ours. Overall, it was just such a nice and enjoyable experience, one that obviously with the task at hand was quite daunting, but I couldn't recommend their services more. The finished product was quite literally, exactly what we had asked and hoped for, and left nothing to be desired. I'll quite possibly be returning to Shimell and Madden for all our jewellery requests and purchases in the future. Thank you team!!!!

I've been a fan of Shimell and Madden for a long time, so when my partner proposed with a temporary ring and told me to choose my own I knew exactly where to go! From the start of the process, sourcing a diamond I liked all the way from NYC to the finishing touches of the satin gold band.
