Charmans Joinery

Charmans Joinery have just replaced our front door, back door and meter cupboard. Very competitive prices, especially considering everything is hand made from quality wood to order. The completed work couldn't be of a higher standard and the guys on site were very polite and tidy, as such I would not want to use anyone else in the future.

Had a new purpose made front door and frame supplied and fitted by charmans joinery, I am very pleased with how the door looks. Quality of work was excellent, the workers were very proffesional and very tidy even bought there own vaccum to my house. Highly recommend these if you are thinking of getting any work done.

I employed Charmans Joinery Bristol to replace our front doors on a 1930's house. I wanted the doors to be a true reflection of the originals but with the added benefit of draft proofing and security.

Charmans delivered on all fronts. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, the timescales they gave me were realistic and they kept to them. The speed of the service once they were on site was first class, they hit some snags (due to retro fitting new doors in to an old door frame) but worked a VERY long day to ensure the job was completed in that day and our home was secure.

They returned the following day with refurbished stained glass and fitted.

I could not recommend this firm any more highly and am completely satisfied with the work carried out.

It's an old adage but you get what you pay for, and the fact Charmans have been in business locally for the length of time they have, I can see why now.

We used Charmans to design and fit an insulated timber door to replace the draughty 1950's original. They also made and fitted some double glazed timber windows.
We are really happy with the results - the care that went into the design, the willingness to talk us through the available options, the care taken over the measurements, and the professionalism of the fitters - everything was first rate. Where there were minor niggles they were dealt with promptly . The price was fair rather than a total bargain - I have no hesitation in recommending Charmans.

Charmans have just supplied and fitted 22 Oak veneer interior doors and sealed off and made good two former doorways which were no longer required. Additionally they replaced a noisy and unstable chipboard floor with new floorboards. This work was carried out as part of a larger refurbishment / extension programme. I've used Charman's on & off for about 20yrs for all manner of joinery jobs whilst renovating and maintaining an old Victorian house. They are dedicated in their work and their craftsmanship is of the highest standard, from internal softwood doors to full replacement hardwood sash windows. Most of my neighbours have used them too and been thoroughly pleased.

Charmans supplied and fitted a number of wardrobe doors for me and I'm delighted with the work they've done . Good quality doors and excellent attention to detail. Very competitive price and nice people to deal with. I'll be using them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them .

Never returned to rectify issues. Emailed 6 times over past 10 months, kept saying they were too busy, also tried to phone. I realise now that they have no intention of returning. Shoddy treatment to prompt paying customer. Here is a quote from the owner: "If we get any complaints at all we give them our full attention and strive to rectify them very quickly so to give a good quality service." No doubt there will be a standard response of "we have no record of you on our system"!! Well I do exist, I was a client and I live in Dundry village.
