Nice place to dine and wine. I mainly go for East Africa cousins. And great place to watch sports.
There is an open Mic on Friday and Saturday till 02:00. I love it. Fantastic transport services within the Bar man. The family business are a wonderful people to socialise at all times.

Worst bar I’ve ever been to. Don’t ask for tap water if you want to walk out alive. Owner makes up the prices of drinks based on how he’s feeling, which is generally very very angry. Look at him the wrong way and he’ll do his best to make sure you have a miserable night. The karaoke isn’t even karaoke and the place smells like my nans urine. I will not be visiting this angry autistic man’s bar again :)

I have eaten and drunk at Laryn many times over a number of years. Drink, food and service all brilliant (do order a platter of Eritrean food, you can get meat or vegan, they're both delicious). I just have to comment on the reviews (I suspect maybe from one person) that call the owner Manny rude and aggressive. Every time I've been he has been polite and provided brilliant service with a smile. The reviews calling him stuff like "very rude and aggressive", well, there are three options. 1. Fake reviews. 2. The customer was being extremely disprespectful (I want to use a four letter word but keeping to disrespectul so this gets posted). 3. possibly Manny was very busy or having a bad day: as far as I've seen it's a two person operation with him behind the bar and a lady (not sure if wife or relative) who is a brilliant chef doing the food. He gets very busy. But "very rude and aggressive" I have never seen even when the place is full of rowdy drunk people. I'm a hospital Consultant doctor and Laryn is my first choice when I take my junior doctors out. It should be your first choice if in area too. Some nights are karaoke nights - I'm not into karaoke but still go on those nights for food, drink, atmosphere and great service. Sorry for long review but there is something seriously amiss with the negative reviews and had to point this out.

A great time for dive bar vibes and a good time singing along to classics. Don't come for a quiet drink at the weekend and be prepared to sing and get stuck in!

I have been to this place many times. I came in earlier tonight and ordered two drinks. It was quiet so I asked for two plastics so my friend and I could walk home. My plastic glass was cracked so my beer which was leaking. I asked for another glass and if the gentleman could top up what had leaked and he dismissed me and kicked me out. He could have just given me a fresh plastic and literally topped up a finger of a pint. For the amount I paid and the fact I’ve been there before, this was disappointing and I will not go back.

An experience. If you are searching for a bar with nice drinks, good vibes, great karaoke, helpful and friendly customer service, excellent toilet facilities and cleanliness… then don’t ever step foot in here.

I've been walking past Laryn Cafe Bar for years, always busy, on my way to Clapham High Street or Brixton. But I love Eritrean food and my usual place is too far to just pop in. It was a lovely meal, we had the mixed platter, spinach, chickpeas and lamb. Owner was super friendly and chatted us through the menu. Good tunes. Big portions. We'll definitely be back!
