Guildford Charcoal Grill

Used to be good but now shamefully bad.
Food arrived over an hour late, was cold, small portions/value, poor quality meat and WITH A HAIR IN THE kebab. An hour after I ordered I phoned up and was told that's because I'd "ordered for collection not delivery" - even when I pointed out I had the email confirmation in front of me showing 'delivery' he continued! Was also more expensive than the place I usually use. Avoid!

The food was painfully average, but if the review was based on the food alone then this might scrape three stars. That being said, the staff of Charcoal Grill are what really brings this review to one star. The bloke working the till was arrogant and demeaning and extremely rude and decided to insult my friend and I at every opportunity.

2nd time ordered now and it was over an hour later than originally stated (so it took 2 hours). Stone cold. And the most shocking rude service when I called to ask how long it would in fact be. Judging by all the bad reviews similar I’m amazed they are running a business at all. Don’t bother.

Food was absolutely fine but the customer service on the other hand was awful!!!! Our food said delivered on just eat but we hadn't received it so when I rang up the shop to see where it was the man pretend he couldn't hear me and then laughed. Disgusting I only wanted to find out where my food was, won't be getting here again.

lovely staff - quick service, friendly guys; the security guard is an absolute gem! As regulars on the weekends we love this place :)

I specifically requested for well cooked meat; but it wasn’t. And most importantly the portion was terrible, just three cubes of kebab in one of the boxes. I’ve never had this small quantity anywhere in Guildford, that includes Guildford charcoal grill as well.
I ordered two Kebabs and a large chips for dinner and lunch; but I had to eat both the kebabs for dinner. Look at the difference between the quantity in both the boxes. Because it’s online order they seemed to have easily skimmed the size. Wasted my £18 tonight. Because I was lazy to walk to the food cart nearby.
Never will I use Just eat and Guildford Charcoal again.

Food was half an hour late and cold. Called up, guy was already shouting at other people, told him we had pre ordered a few hours in advance and the food turned up late. He had a go at me for ordering because of where I lived, said if I didn’t like it, don’t order again, with a bit of other verbal. Hilarious stuff! Used to be a decent kebab, will not be ordering again.

Ordered from there tonight, it took about 2 hours to arrive (after they said it would be 40 minutes). Tried to call and it just goes into voice mail. Tried to cancel the order on Deliveroo but couldn't. Spoke to someone on Deliveroo 'Live Chat', they tried calling the restaurant, same response!! 'Live Chat' was unable to give me any advice about a refund, they just gave me a support email address. The driver finally turned up, said the Sat Nav took him to the incorrect address. He said the restaurant only gave him the order 30 minutes beforehand, he didn't seem to believe me when I said I'd been waiting nearly 2 hours, no apology, quite rude. The food was cold and soggy, never again!!
