Upperwood Boarding Kennels

My family and I had booked to go on holiday but unfortunately two days before I took one of my dogs to the vets with a lump on his face, resulting in him needing two different types of medication while we were away and then a follow up visit to see how he had responded. Naturally I was worried to leave him but the staff at the kennels were absolutely wonderful and the follow-up visit to the vets went well. He responded well to the medication and going in the right direction, thanks to the staff. I cannot recommend upperwood boarding kennels highly enough.

I have been a vet nurse for over 20 years, and am often asked to recommend a boarding facility. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Upperwood. My two dogs are always happy to abandon me at reception, without a backwards glance. They are always relaxed when I pick them up, and never drop weight or seem remotely concerned about anything.
The staff at Upperwood are fantastic, sensible, experienced, and know the dogs inside out. I couldn’t ask for more. Thanks

I recently had an extended hospital stay so my cat, her 2 kittens and my dog had an extended holiday at Upperwood!
The care given to my animals was second to none. Dom even managed to train my dog not to be afraid of traffic! They really made my animals part of their home and were accommodating when they had to stay longer than expected.

I never have any concerns when leaving charlie at Upperwood whilst we go on holiday. He's very boisterous and not the easiest of dogs but Dom and his team go out of their way to accommodate him and he always comes back happy and healthy. When charlie needs his medications it has never been a problem for them to give this.
Would highly recommend this kennels to anyone who is looking for one! They will treat your dog as their own.

Our dogs Scout, Bella and our cat Kasper had a great stay over the festive season! So much so that I think they would have happily stayed! They came out well cared for and content. Will definitely use again. Thank you so much for looking after our precious bundles of fluff!

I've been bringing my dogs to Upper wood for 15 years, and they've always given them individual care and attention. In cold weather (before they had heating installed) they gave our elderly lurcher heat pads to snuggle on, and when she was no longer with us made sure her companion felt less anxious on his own by having his own bedding with him. Highly recommend.

This was our first time using Upperwood and also a new experience for our 1yr old Sprocker who is quite timid.
Lovely pens where the dogs can see what's going on and also interact with each other (each pen has its own run with fence separating dogs from each other) This allowed Ruby to go outside when she wanted and still feel secure. She actually came back a lot more social with other dogs and I think allowing her to sniff and see other dogs with the knowledge she was safe in her run gave her the confidence boost she needed.

I can't recommend Upperwood enough. The team are very understanding of our dog's needs and are always very friendly and professional. Our dog Otis loves to visit for his holidays!
