I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the truly excellent service you provided throughout our quest to find a new kitchen. Your expertise and professionalism balanced against your patience as I chopped and changed things made my life so much easier. I was also impressed by the way you conducted yourself throughout; never pushy and always very quick to respond to my various questions.
Before discovering CK Kitchens we had tried many main stream stores each offering kitchens of various quality and price yet the kitchen you provided beat them on both quality and price, and the fact it came assembled made fitting so much easier.
I was also pleased we chose on your recommendation to have the worktop provided by Purple Granite. They also complemented your standards by providing a 'First Class' service, with the template and fitting being seamless which reflected in the end product looking excellent.
I will without any hesitation recommend CK kitchens to friends and family and wish you all the best for future sales.
Doors (BA Components) are poorly made. Laminate on front panel is chipped where it joins side edging strip, particularly stands out on white doors, appears like dirty edges. Edging strip is not flush with laminate on front panel creating grime trap. 3 doors were replaced, one was still chipped and had yellow streaks on rear panel. One of the front drawer fascia’s is bowed, stands out against the drawer fascia below it. If you google BA Components and you will hit every cheap replacement kitchen door company on the web, hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Carcases. Poorly packaged, only piece of protection from damage during transit was a flimsy piece of cardboard taped around door panel, side and rear panels left exposed. Laminate edging had been broken off on rear and top of a few of the carcases, where they appear to have been dragged across floor on their backs during construction / shipping. Incredible amount of dirty hand prints inside carcases. Laminate chipped in several places where they were routed for handleless rail fitting. Drilled 2 different size shelf holes, now 3 weeks passed since we notified CK Kitchens and the only response was "I have passed this onto the carcase plant, as I cannot answer that question for you." Hob unit and oven unit failed to adjust back panel or put in oven shelves despite being given dims, carcases had to be completely dismantled.
Handleless (PWS) rail pilot holes were drilled in the wrong place. CK’s response was “Gola do two different versions of the handless rail system and someone has marked the screw locations for the wrong model, If the screw hole is too close to the hole you have already used then we recommend fixing the brackets by creating a new screw hole through the bracket itself.” The bracket holes in the PWS handleless specification show screw holes are set 10mm from front edge. Holes in actual bracket were 13mm. Instead of supplying correct bracket we were left having to fill existing holes and re-drill new holes, ending up with brand new second hand kitchen.
Overall Extremely displeased with quality of doors, carcases and level of service. Pleased with Blum components which are worth keeping.
