We chose Oakland's because of the good reviews on google. We were impressed with the design facilities & showroom and as we were having two bathrooms completely refurbished we were confident upon speaking to James that they would be suitable for the job. Unfortunately when the work started this is when things fell apart. Only one man was sent to undertake a job that was clearly to big for him. Considerable damage was caused to the rest of our property and Jame's attitude was less than professional when we expressed our concerns.The plastering and tiling is all very substandard and a leaking new toilet left us with a badly damaged ceiling in the hall way. James ignored our calls for days and his attitude was appalling, speaking to my husband as if it was nothing do to with them. Having paid almost £25,000 in advance to Oaklands of which £400 was withheld until these issues were rectified we were then offered a tube of silicone through the post to complete the job ourselves. We appointed an independent plumber who came and made a much better job. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Having read Oaklands response to my review I see that James does not like to hear the truth!!!

James and the team did a fantastic and high quality job. Loretta designed our kitchen and bathroom - and straight away we said "yes" - the designs we exactly what we were hoping for and matched our brief. James' team worked hard and their attention to detail and knowledge is exceptional. Highly recommended.

We had James and the team build an extension and remodel the kitchen. I can honestly say that the end result has exceeded our expectations, we are delighted. The team listened to what we envisioned and adapted their ideas so that our vision was achieved. The quality of work and the finish is exceptional but, more importantly, the team who worked on it were outstanding. Every one of James’ team were professional, friendly and adaptable, which, given that the work was ongoing through lockdown, was impressive. This is the second project we have had done by James and we will probably use him for the next one.

A professional job from start to finish. We had our bathroom renovated and are very happy with the service we received. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Ben was so helpful with the design aspect and Jo was lovely in the office. Phil the plumber was very concientious in his work and the standard of work was exceptional. He kept us informed every step of the way and was always asking if we were happy with what he had done. A very high quality job at a very reasonable price and we would fully recommend this company, thankyou to them all.

This is the first google review I have ever posted, but I felt the need as we received great service from Fred from the moment we entered their showroom, and we were surprised at how much stock of the Burlington bathroom suites we were able to view as it looks a little niche. Fred was very knowledgeable and followed up with our requirements in good time.

Jo was also very helpful with the administration and kept us up to date with the supply and invoicing.

The delivery driver was very patient and accommodated our requirements so we cannot fault the whole experience, the product looks fantastic and we cannot wait for it to be fitted!

We have just had our En Suite/washroom refurbished and have no hesitation in highly recommending this company. The service, quality of workmanship and attention to detail is outstanding. I have nothing but admiration for the skill and diligence they go about their work. A special thank you to Tom for looking after Maggie during the work, took all the worry away from us. Thank you so much to James and all the team who made this such a rewarding experience.

James the owner is a lovely guy who can talk about his projects all day long, but once you’ve paid your deposit the narrative changes. Suddenly everything is an inconvenience and once the order is secured they have no real interest in completing the work to a high standard. Everything is over budget (I had two separate jobs from them, a bathroom and a kitchen, combined to over £30,000) and there’s not a single aspect that I’m happy with really. The snagging list was only attempted after I refused to pay the final instalment and happy chappy James came to do it and made me feel that I was out of order for wanting the job finishing properly. He was no longer in the slightest bit interested in customer satisfaction.
I was glad when the work was partially done and didn’t even follow up on a lot of the issues as it felt like I was being a huge inconvenience. We parted ways and I was happy with that aspect.
I’ve never written a review for anything previously, but three years after my kitchen was finished, the tap that had been fitted and supplied corroded and broke. I tried on multiple occasions to enquire if this was the standard that I should expect and they haven’t even bothered replying.
There is a kitchen. I’m not proud of it and for the money that I was charged I would expect a better quality of finish and customer support. There’s absolutely no way I would recommend this company and I’d steer well clear if I was you.

We have recently had a new bathroom designed and installed by Oaklands (Leicester) ltd of Blaby, we have been impressed by the build quality. All trades involved with the build were polite, hard working and very helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to complete a similar project.
