Flora Garden Design

We worked with Andy from Flora Garden Design on our front and back gardens. We agreed on the total price for the project. However, when we started the project, he raised the price twice: once for the design and again for the amendment (which he agreed to be included). We were too nice, and we paid the increased price as we wanted to move forward quickly. It took the council five months to review our planning. When we were told we needed to make some changes to the plan, we contacted Andy by phone and e-mail. He didn't bother to respond to us and left us high and dry. It's terrible! Flora's future clients should follow my advice: 1. Be tough rather than kind; 2. Don't pay the full amount up front; 3. Keep 10% for full completion because people cannot be trusted.

The photos speak for themselves - before and after! Andy is fantastic to work with. He's so enthusiastic regarding gardening and plants and was totally committed to getting exactly us what we wanted. He came round for an initial discussion and then provided us with some design suggestions for us to choose from based on what we had told him. He then gave us a 3d movie of the final garden and exact printed plans including all measurements and recommendations for materials. This proved to be essential as we could then show the plans to the landscapers when we were getting quotes and there was no confusion of misunderstandings. We went with Tom and his team at Rainbow Gardening in Epsom who were also fantastic and we couldn't recommend them more. They've worked with Andy in the past so everything went so smoothly and Andy was also available during the landscaping to check on the progress. After completion we met Andy at a local nursery to choose the plants which he put in a couple of weeks later and now we can finally enjoy our new garden. We couldn't be happier!
