Laverie by Kis Wash

Don't normally review a laundromat, but travelling from Canada and needed a place to wash my undies and socks. Found this Kis wash near the train station in Tonbridge
The 2 gents who ran it were there and were most helpful and engaging. The place is really clean with washers using bio friendly detergent that us automatic, nice bit of savings and convenience.
Only complaint was the wahers wernt draining properly on this day and Spencer and Mark were working on the problem. Because my clothes were a bit to wet out of the wash, they gave me an extra half hour on the drier for free.

Modern facility, detergent included in the £4 for 8kg machine or £8 18kg. Payment by cash or card possible for washers and dryers.

The machines are supposed to automatically dispense detergent - except the one I used! No warning on it. Could have used my own if it had. Absolute waste of my time and money.

Very clean establishment, attendant was on site when I arrived cleaning, did a very thorough job. No problems with card payments and machines did what they are supposed to do!!! Great for me as on a UK tour in large motorhome.

Very convenient. Clean. Reasonable prices.
Edit: lately the floor is not clean at all. And I go at different times of day, makes me wonder how often it's cleaned. Sad, because is a convenient place to do the laundry. Edit 10/10/22: Today there was a bunch of teenagers who were talking and sitting at the folding tables. The card machine wasn't working and there was no way to pay with cash. I wasted my time. Wanted to warn the owners about the teens and the malfunction but there are no contact details in sight.

Machine doesn't give back any change- OK, but why do you take our money without providing any service? When I've runned out of coins (which that damn thing was simply swallowing, not adding to my balance), I've tried to pay with a card- no use, cause minimum card payment is £2 and I've needed to add just 1 quid! I went for longer than needed time, simply because it wouldn't accept smaller payment.
Just to add on top of it, that we never know if the washing machine automatically added 'some' detergent or not.
And no one around to complain.
Thank you Lavarie, keep my money, I'm not coming back.

Card facility broken.
Usually will only take £5 notes but not taking them either.
Had to reinsert coins several times until they were accepted
Washing usually has a very strong smell of the detergent but couldn't smell it at all which leads me to believe it had run out

Arrived today (maybe 6th or 7th visit in all) to just dry washing because of the horrible weather. The cleaning attendant was there and was very thorough. He wiped down all machines, dryers, tables, chairs, payment terminal and door handles. He swept the floor and then washed it. The place was spotless after he had finished. The dryer was £4 for 30 minutes and washing was bone dry. Great facility and very easy to use
