A rough and ready but functional Coin Op the man was genuinely happy to be there and happily gave change for the machine.
There are 7 smaller machines at £4 (as of 14/10/20) (1 reserved for the staff for service wash) and two larger ones at £8 a wash which my double duvet blanket thing fit in to.
The machines were all in good order and the driers are on the more modern style (I am so used to seeing yellow ones that only take 20p pieces) they had a proper countdown display which helps! They also dried well as the thing I was drying took £3.40 where I knew the older machines I have used in the past struggle to dry normal clothes for that much.
It is currently the highest rated Coin Op / launderette (what ever you like to call them) in the area and I can see why, the two others look downbeat and dingy in comparison.
£5/wash for approx.6Kg/one shopping bag. (x7 machines with various settings. I used No.3 which is for mixed/synthetics, with a pre-wash and took approx.25min. These take £1 coins only)
£1/10min for tumble dry: available in low, medium, high heat. (x6 very large dryers, take 20p, 50p, £1 or £2 coins)
They also have x2 large washers for bulky items at £8/wash.
Take your own detergent & softener, if you run out of coins, staff were happy to exchange notes. There is a bench to sit and wait with your laundry.
:)
No compensation and saying ‘it happens’
(He gave one lady 2 pounds back but not the rest of us, which is, very interesting)
Please avoid if you don’t have half an hour to waste :(
