The Wright Wash

Visited on a hot sunny day, wasn't made to feel particularly welcome, almost as if I was disturbing them. Was told to make sure I returned in 35 minutes as they were closing early, no note on the front door advising of this, so maybe ring first to see if they are open? Not sure if the female member of staff was hard of hearing, but when she asked me to repeat what I'd said when I'd asked her something, she wasn't apologetic at not hearing me the two/three times (eg, "Sorry, say that again), instead, the tone of voice was curt. Premises were clean, machines all working, and there is an area to sit if you're choosing to wait for your wash to finish. Machines take the old style £ coins which the staff change for you.

Emergency! Young Granddaughter staying and the washing machine literally goes bang.
Went to The Wright Wash with no experience of how they work. Whilst faithfully obeying social distancing the manageress could not have been more helpful, showing me how to work the machines, selecting the right (Wright?!) machine for the volume of washing.
She even gave me a qualified thumbs-up for my folding attempts!
Really grateful this place was open.

Opening hours not as advertised! Boaters beware - probably worth phoning before lugging anything over there.

I carried two big bags of laundry there today, only to find that there’s not enough time to both wash and dry everything, as they’re closing early today. I arrived shortly before midday. Looking at other reviews (after the fact sadly) this seems like a regular occurrence.

Looked after by the very polite Ladies on duty. Provided with change, shown how to use the machines. Highly recommend.

Great launderette. Extremely/spotlessly clean and organised . This made us feel safer during these Covid times !
We didn’t know it closed earlier than internet says so need to be aware of this ....closes at 4pm. We arrived at 3.10pm so didn’t really have time to do a wash and dry all our laundry but the lady who came out to greet us said we were okay to go ahead even though this would mean she had to stay there until nearly 4.30pm .
We will definitely be using this launderette weekly from now....best launderette we’ve been to :)

Make sure you come in the morning because when we arrived at 11:55 the lady didn’t let us do our washing, even though closing time is 13:00 and it only takes half an hour for a load. We’ve used this place before, I think the owners were there at the time and their service was considerably better.

Shirley was very helpful and informative, also apologetic about having to leave the door open due to covid. Very friendly and welcoming place and I'll definitely be using The Wright Wash again.

Our machine broke so this was an emergency wash. Man who I assume was owner was very pleasant and helpful as I had no idea how to use these commercial machines.
