I'm not one to write a review, let alone a bad one but I've had an absolute mare of an experience with Lawson West during 2 x home purchases. Lack of communication, lack of updates, hardly pick up their direct dials nor answer any emails. Approaching the end of mortgage expiry and I'm still to hear back from them. Not sure if they're understaffed but they're just not responsive. Wouldn't really recommend.

AVOID AT ALL Cost!!! They advertise free consultation , they are unorganized,the solicitors are impossible to get hold of. When my wife got in touch they ask for money even before hearing your case. They have the cheek to tell you they are not a charity!! , even though they advertise Free Consultation.

In the last two years I've had to constantly check my invoices as a lot of them were wrong in their favour. For the financial side of the divorce they gave me no chose and I had to use their conveyancer. They overcharged me for this, then a rate was agreed and then without notice this rate was increased. Rates went up without notice normally anyway. Ripped me off with my deposit and made poor attempts to explain this as I had proof. Charged me for getting more information after vague emails.

We've used Lawson-West recently for some business matters and they have been excellent. Nathan has been very responsive to all emails and calls and very thorough with paperwork. We would definitely use again and recommend.

Vicky Jones at Lawson-West made the whole probate process painless and hassle-free for me as an executor. The whole matter was taken care of seamlessly and without stress on my part - the only contributions I was required to make were to sign the odd document, provide some specific information relating to my mother's affairs from time-to-time and liaise with the other beneficiaries of my mother's will. The reason this review offers four stars instead of five is that there was a misunderstanding part-way through the process about the overall timescale required to settle my mother's estate. Having said that, I would not hesitate to recommend Lawson-West's probate service.
