My experience with solicitors has never been great, but this time it wasn't awful! We had the same legal assistant assigned to our case the whole way through, who was prompt at getting back to us and was at the end of the phone. There were some things we needed clarity on but our assistant did not seem to be able to explain some things to us, and there were some errors on the initial drafts of documentation, but it all got through in the end.

We sold a house through Sort Legal, and the process was long and complex. Tenant was given Section 21, refused to leave, court process, bailiffs. Throughout and especially towards the end as things become suddenly urgent, Sort Legal proved their worth with great reliability, communication and professionalism. Our mortgage broker put us in touch with Sort Legal to carry out the remortgage of our property. We received an email to complete a number of documents which was fine. Once we completed these documents we were provided an administrative assistant. Now we were asked to provide further documentation via post as it needed to be signed. I decided to scan this documentation first and send to our point of contact requesting this be reviewed first before sending in the post. We heard nothing back and we were getting close to the end of our existing fixed term so had to send in the post. The week before Christmas we received a response to say there was an issue with the documentation and they needed something resigning and sending back via post. We had missed the first class post before Christmas which has not resulted in not completing our new deal in a timely fashion and has resulted in us incurring extra charges from our previous deal as we went onto a variable rate until we completed. We found the whole experience very frustrating and disappointing with lack of communication and guidance on what we needed to do. Poor customer service

As first time home buyers I could not recommend Adriana Holmes enough, she worked with us the whole way through and went completely above and beyond, as we were dealing with very difficult solicitors on the other side, she was very professional and so kind. She explained everything in ways we could understand as being first time buyers our knowledge was very little to start with. She was always available to email/call, I can’t recommend her enough!
