Moved house with these solicitors and they were friendly enough. The sale went OK, but we had big issues with the buying side. It took them 6 months to register the house in our name. We were fined for late stamp duty payment and also had our mortgage lender threatening to withdraw their funding. At one point we thought they had legged it with 12k of stamp duty. This kind of behaviour suggests poor cash flow their side and was a horrible experience. They are cheap for a reason and never again.

I’d highly recommend Alison Hardie-Forsyth for conveyancing. She made the move stress free and her communication was excellent. Her fees were very good value. It’s nice when you get someone to do something and you can leave them to it as you know they’re doing their best for you and Alison definitely did this.

I would fully recommend Howard Partridge, Associate at Edwards Solicitors. Howard helped me navigate through a construction dispute with an out of court settlement. I found he had the energy and enthusiasm of a newly qualified Solicitor with benefit of nearly 50 years experience.

Absolutely amazing service, helpful and very responsive! Especially Alison, she was very good at helping us out with all the legal stuff, would recommend them to everyone in future!

Very poor rang twice on the14th September and again on the15th September they have still not rang back
The sale of the house fell through and they didn’t even get in touch to tell me and still to this day (3 October) not been in touch

I am a solicitor myself and I have been shocked at the way that these people handle their clients.

11 November 2020: we chased for a response
11 November: 2020: they confirm that they will accept instructions
20 January 2021: we confirmed detailed instructions
25 January 2021: no communication, we chase
26 January 2021: no communication, we chase
2 February 2021: telephone call to discuss next steps and action plan – then silence
9 March 2021: no further communication, we chase
15 March 2021: no further communication, we chase
6 July 2021: no further communication, we chase
7 July 2021: no further communication, we chase

So he we are, 7 months later and nothing has happened.

Avoid at all costs.
