Poor experience for us with the St Albans branch.

Initially one of the partners sent emails and letters to the individual we were having a dispute with miss spelling names and getting dates wrong.

After paying for services upfront we then requested they clear any future work with us prior to undertaking as we were looking to avoid a large bill. It seems this was lost in translation somehow and we were presented with an unexpected bill. When we refused to pay (as we had not approved in advance) they began county court action against us.

Currently we are disputing this and have complained to the legal ombudsman.

Just completed on the sale of my mother's house. Whole process with Amy and her team was smooth and painless, from client acceptance (particularly as I am acting under Power of Attorney) through searches, exchange and completion. Would wholeheartedly recommend for conveyancing.

Over the past 12 months, Sherrards solicitors have acted for our family with the sale if my late mother's house and the sorting out of Probate.
Amy dealt with the conveyancing very efficiently and was always quick to respond to queries and issues that arose unexpectedly.
Kirsty dealt with the Probate and gave a good service.
Overall the service delivered has been professional although the Covid situation has made certain aspects more complicated.
The fees have sometimes seemed high bearing in mind that we have relied on email rather than face to face meetings or telephone calls. Delivery and collection of paperwork has sometimes been delayed.
Many documents have been emailed rather than posted as hard copies which appears lazy especially as the fees are always substantial. Perhaps I am a little old fashioned in this regard
