Very pleasant, no pressure for additional services and personal attention. Not overly expensive (nor cheap!) but skimping on legal advice a false economy

Called to see how much it would cost to change a name by deed poll and the lady who i spoke to was very rude..

No need for the attitude or assumptions when speaking to potential clients. Had to bite my tongue, say bye and hang up the call, Not on..

Will take my time and money else where.

Excellent service specifically from the solicitor who dealt with my purchase, Jonathan. Along with help from Sarah, who covered my file whilst Jonathan was on holiday.

I had these guys recommended to me by my cousin. It's hard finding a solicitor you feel like you can trust if like me you were / you are a first time buyer. Having the recommendation from my cousin helped in that way, but I also noticed Bishop Akers didn't have many Google Reviews relating to Conveyancing which seems a great shame since I've had such a good experience with them.

My experience with them was brilliant, with the Solicitor / Conveyancer overseeing my file being Jonathan. He was always helpful, friendly, down to earth, and most importantly great at his job with a keen eye for detail. If I was ever unsure / rang with a question, he'd take the time and effort to walk me through it or explain.

The purchase itself wasn't straight forward = a flat with a share of the freehold, made difficult by the fact that some solicitors in the onward chain weren't great and ultimately delayed the process. Jonathan was very patient with them, despite us both getting very frustrated at times with the delay. I would also highlight that as part of purchasing a share of the freehold, Jonathan spotted a typo in the deed that would've gone unnoticed by a lot solicitors as the flats would have been sold at least three or four times before my purchase. As a consequence, he did a deed of variation, and made that process very straight forward.

I would lastly mention that you always get a bit nervous if your solicitor will be on holiday in the run up to exchange of contract - but those feelings soon disappeared when it became evident my file had been handed over to a colleague who was equally as competent. The colleague being Sarah. She was helpful, meticulous, friendly, patient and also great at her job.

Really grateful to have had Bishop Akers, Jonathan, and Sarah working on my file. I'd wholly recommend them when purchasing a home, and will definitely use them again if I come to sell / buy again in the future.

Our parents Solicitors for many years, Mum and Dad held them in very high esteem. In recent years my wife and I have had many dealings with them whilst we acted on their behalf.
We found them to be very efficient and thorough.
Jenny, Jonathan, Alexandra and Liz Hart were always most helpful, especially as we live in Australia. A special mention to Sharon and Tammy for their kindness in recent dealings at a difficult time for us. Thank you all xxx
