I am surprised the company is still in business.
Total lack of communication, 14 days between answers to anything, the partner, Elena who handled my buyer's purchase repeatedly sent the same enquiries to my solicitor; obviously a complete waste of everyone's time. They asked for the same documents over and over again and then were un-contactable when estate agents, other solicitors involved in the chain and their own client were trying to phone for updates .
The way our case was handled by this company caused all parties unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Wonderful service from Elena. Professional, and friendly. Was also more than happy to answer any of my questions whenever something popped up that I was curious about. Compared to my last solicitor, this experience was a breath of fresh air. Would happily recommend, and I will be going back to her should I need to move again in the future.

If you are selling a property and you receive an offer from a buyer using this firm, do not accept the offer or ask the buyer to use a different solicitor. If you are buying a property, do not use this firm. They are absolutely terrible. I am not sure they really know what they are doing. It seems they are just winging it most of the time. Here is a list of their lacklustre service.
1. Searches done about 2 months after offer accepted. As a reference the lender carried out their survey within a week after the offer was accepted.
2. A gap of at least a month between the first and second set of enquiries sent to the selling solicitor.
3. The solicitor unable to explain/justify some of the unnecessary requests made.
4. It takes about 2 weeks for them to respond to emails.
5. The solicitor doesn’t take the estate agent’s calls.
6. They return calls after about a week.
7. They are not organised. More than one trip to their office to sign documents. Why not get everything ready so the client comes in and signs all necessary documents in one go.
I could go on and on
If you want your house purchase or sale to happen in a timely manner, do not use this firm. However, if you want it to take 6 months or more, go ahead and engage their services because they will do their best to make sure it takes that long.

Absolutely a complete waste of space and money avoid, what a drip they have working there, she need re-training ! She can’t even make an effort to call another firm of solicitors up !

Initially the communication and response from the company was not great and my initial review was one star.

After I raised a complain, their services were great. Lorraine came back to me and apologized for the lack of communication.

All of my emails were handled and responded to in a timely manner, Lorraine became attentive and I was offered a discounted rate due to the initial delay.

I have used these solicitors for many years both as a private individual and a businessman. They have always provided an excellent service and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone requiring their services.
MRP Caporn are thoroughly professional, polite and responsive. My last experience of the company has been moving house, the whole event was handled very proficiently and promptly. Some issues that did arise were delt with smoothly and their actions actually saved me some money and left me in an improved position vis a vis my freehold of my new property.
