I first used this firm 28 years ago and could not recommend them highly enough. Their rates are competitive with online companies with the bonus that they are local. I have used them several times since my first time and have recommended them to friends and family that would all use them again. They are very professional, efficient, easy to get hold of, always return your calls and do a very thorough service with all costs upfront, clear and transparent. With the minefield that is house buying I don't think you could ask for more. I always use James Tricker but I believe that all the partners are equally as good.

I would like to thank Goodchild, Vizard & Smart, particularly Michelle, for dealing with our house purchase in such a professional and efficient manner. We had regular updates throughout the process and queries were responded to very quickly with clarity. Michelle was outstanding and did everything really quickly. I am pleased I chose Goodchild, Vizard & Smart especially Michelle to handle our conveyancing.

I read some reviews on here and wanted to share personal experience with this organisation. We have completed our purchase within 10 weeks with Christmas break in the middle and it went really smoothly. I didn't hear much from them through the duration of the purchase but I can't complain as all of the work was done in the background and I didn't need to know all the details. We have received letters with documentation/questionnaire etc at every milestone reached and James was really helpful answering all the questions we have had. What you have to bear in mind: they would not take the phone between 1 and 2pm as office is shut for lunch. Prices are better than 2 other places we have enquired for. Smooth experience overall, but as some people pointed out, it could depend on the focal point in the company.

First time I have used this company for my mortgage.

James and his team are very efficient, I was receiving weekly updates and communication was great the receptionist is also very helpful.

I explained to James that I must complete before start of march he completed my application 25th Feb.

The same as all solicitors I guess they are supposed to be working on your behalf but when they don't get back to you when they say they will it makes you wonder,

I used GVS for my Sale and Purchase and can't rate this firm enough. I dealt with Michelle Denton who was AMAZING, not to mention extremely informative throughout the entire process.
