It is quite telling that by and large the only good reviews you'll find about this company relate to Peter Tustain himself.
Peter IS a very decent and honest individual whose company is clearly being let down by people he employs, who are frankly a disgrace to their profession.
Following a bereavement, families are fragile and do not deserve to be treated with the rudeness and insensitivity certain people in this company have clearly become known for.
The insensitive manner in which our business was dealt with has caused an irreparable rift in our family.
My advice is simple: If you cannot deal directly and exclusively with Peter Tustain, do not deal with this company at all.

What a pleasure to deal with. My solicitor was Peter Tustain and his PA's Sophie Hobbs and Hayley Munslow made the process so easy. They always responded in a timely fashion and I knew I could trust them to keep me updated. When it did get a little pressurised at point of exchange Peter Tustains knowledge and experience shone through and he quickly put things into perspective for me in laymans terms. I have used this firm before and I will definitely use them again and would whole heartedly and confidently recommend them to anyone thinking of buying or selling. Their professionalism and service is exceptional. When so much is at stake it was so important to have a firm that I knew, and felt confident, would deliver, and they certainly did. I have instructed Tustain Jones and Co to represent me with my house purchase. Initially I found communication a little bit difficult but since Kelsey took over, it all went smoothly. She was very quick to reply to my calls and emails. Always very polite and professional. It was quick and pleasant experience. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Extremely poor experience from the conveyancing Solicitor who is (only part time) and her team. The whole process was like pulling teeth getting an answer to calls and then when you do finally get an answer they are rude dismissive and can’t wait to get rid of you . They even copied me in to extremely unprofessional squabbles they were having with my buyers Solicitor’s. I also had a battle when I asked for my completion statement two days before completion and I was told that they only give these out on the actual day after I have paid. I immediately complained about this and eventually got my completion statement which turned out to be wrong incorrect figures on it. This is just one of the many ways and the poor service in which they treat their customers. These were recommended by the estate agent ( and the estate agent got paid for the recommendation ) and I learned a big lesson. Any company that has to pay others to get business can’t be very good. When I complained all I got was an extremely curt letter from the owner Peter Tustain just wanting to dismiss me and told to go away as they by now had my money.
Don’t touch them with a barge pole.

Very poor, Its is true like someone else said, its like pulling teeth. My wife and her brother sold their mum's house within 2 days of going on the market in June. We are still waiting to sign the contract 4 months later. This is costing my wife and brother a ;large amount of money while this company is doing nothing. What a joke.

Absolute joke! The sellers for the house we are purchasing (the house next door to where we currently live) are using this firm of solicitors for their conveyancing, as suggested to them for Reeds Rains (Grimsby) estate agents with their complete conveyancing package.
The left arm doesn't know what the right arm is doing. We have been waiting 5 months now for a very basic chain to complete. Vendor moving to empty house, we move to theirs. Nothing complicated. We have had everything in place for 2 months now.
They had requested searches late (and not realised until the vendors contacted them for an update 4 weeks later).
They had changed exchange dates 3 times and we are now on the 4th suggested date which we have all agreed to. They original requested a date of September 18th.
They are listed on a website called 'Solicitors from hell' so heaven knows why estate agents are still using them. We're sick to the back teeth of this now and are looking at pulling out days from our next supposed 'completion' date. Incompetent and lackadaisical.

*UPDATE* A new exchange & completion date of the 22/09 . On the 22/09, the property which the sellers of the house we are buying was actually in probate. Hence the delays. These "solicitors" didn't realise.
The sellers have had to look for another property as the probate was only recently applied for. We have now exchanged (19/10). If you like delays, hassle, headaches, stress and arguments then Tustain Jones are the firm for you.

only dealt with Peter and can honestly say after 14 years + of dealings with this man you will not find anymore more Caring, honest and always professional.. if you go with peter your in safe hands... office is always welcoming and clean.
