Great value property conveyancing: price competitive with the national 'online only' conveyancers but with the advantage of a local office and personal support. Helpful and understanding throughout what turned out to be quite a difficult purchase process.

We used Whitehead for a purchase attempt on a residential property. Everything was progressing smootly until the day before exchange when our solicitor became non contactable. After a day and a half of frantic phone calls to the firm our call was finally taken by a senior partner who would only say that they were unable to complete the sale and didnt have to provide any further reason. This resulted in our property sale and chain collasping and a huge amount of stress for multiple parties. Luckily we found a new solicitor and property and completed 6 months later. This experience is one I am obliged to share.

Used this firm to write our wills. Found the service incredibly professional, very efficient and very timely. Cannot recommend Jess Johnston highly enough. She explained the legal jargon in understandable terms to us, and helped us future-proof our will. Her advice was understandable and allowed us to make an informed decision about various choices, relevant to our assets. She put thought into ensuring our will is relevant for us now and in future to save us having to re-write it later in our lives. The service was friendly, reasonably priced and would definitely use the firm in future.

They acted for us on a house purchase. They day before we were due to exchange they become unresponsive. I finally managed to speak to one of the partners and he said that they weren't able to follow through with the exchange. The chain subsequently collapsed effecting 7 other parties. No reason was ever given. It was an unbelievably stressful situation for my family and I and an experience I have to share.
