I have to say that it is not often that I have something nice to say about a solicitor, but in the instance of Jo Farr in the Commercial Property team. I have to say she was exceptional, knowledgeable, responsive and polite. Whist other solicitors tried to ruin an already complicated situation but giving out the wrong information Jo made the effort to understand and explain this to both her client and the other side too. People like Jo are rare in this industry! Great job Jo, well done.

Appallingly slow & very expensive service. Poor communication skills: unable/unwilling to communicate effectively by email to all family members, which caused arguments when some family members knew more about the issues than others. Avoid like the plague.

I recently needed a solicitor to defend a defamation case against me. I was contacted by Esther Millard and she was wonderful right from the start. Very professional but also empathetic and considerate of the amount of stress the worry of the case put me under. She did everything she could to put my mind at rest and was very quick to respond to any query I had and responses to the other party solicitors. Altogether I would thoroughly recommend this firm.

The following is based on my experience and it is my genuine belief to urge all to avoid this company. This company took our case on and we thought this would lead to a swift resolution. Unfortunately this was not the case.

They forgot to file the forms of representation to the court for 6 months. They then contacted the court to say we have sent them for the court to reply that they definitely had not. They told me they had filed for a legal aid application and yet three weeks later they admitted they had left it on their desk.

They then kept making repeated mistakes in their communication with the other party which demonstrated that they weren't aware of the details of the case and, frankly didn't care. This led to us having to provide written client instructions in the hope that this would resolve the situation. Unfortunately they simply ignored these. Let me clarify - they didn't contact us with alternatives or explain they couldn't follow our wishes because it would be harmful etc. they simply just ignored them.

One Friday evening at 18.34 I received an email from the lead solicitor. This stated that they no longer dealt with Legal Aid and go and find another solicitor. On top of that, they then said they were on holiday for over 2 weeks effectively leaving us in the lurch.

If this wasnt bad enough, we found a new solicitor and they have ignored requests for the case file for nearly a month, whilst stating to us they have sent it.

The above is enough evidence for me to be absolutely sure that their representation has been of detriment to my case and to my anxiety over the case. If asked for my impression on their ability to deal with the case I would tell all to avoid this company as they simply aren't capable of dealing with even the simplest case.
