Southerns Solicitors care only about earning their fee. The fee earners are incompetent, unreliable and rude. I personally know 2 of the partners in the business and despite this my experience with the firm was terrible. They miss hearings, send crucial documentation weeks later and threaten you when disputing invoices due to substandard service. I am a prolific local business networker and shall ensure that everyone business I work or associate with is aware that working with this firm is a huge mistake

wouldn't trust them with conveyancing. failed to amend a land registry issue and 10 years later im having to deal with it myself because they no longer have the file. lady i spoke to was rude and seems if they're not chasing your money then they have no interest in resolving a issue that is clearly of there making. sadly zero stars isn't an option

We used Southerns solicitors for conveyance work and I can say that we received 100% service at a very fast and efficient manner. The Solicitor we had take care of our work was a lovely lady called Amber Khan. A trainee solicitor and she was faultless. She responded to every email and kept us informed of the progress all
Through the process. I’d recommend Southerns for a fast service and at a price which was half the price of others. Thanks Amber. All the best for the future.

Unprofessional, unethical and unorganised.
I approached southerns with a case a number of months ago. They Initially showed a great deal of concern with the matter at hand. That is, until they had successfully secured the fees for the case. From then onwards, they would refuse to answer calls. When they did, they would refuse to allow me to speak to the instructing solicitors (or should I say paralegals, which is what I was given for my case). Every time I’d call, I was met by a very rude and unhelpful receptionist who seemed to offer little by way of constructive help but a lot by way of dim witted sarcasm and obnoxious remarks. Even on the day where the matter went to court, Southerns still (even though they had given plenty of assurances that they would) did not have the decency to give me a call or an update. Fortunately I know the advocate and was able to liaise with them 20 minutes before the matter was heard by the court but had i stopped persisting the matter when Southerns avoided talking to me, I would have been left out in the dark about the whole matter all together. I’ve dealt with many law firms, chambers and etcetera in the past and I often refrain from making grandiose, over-arching statements: nonetheless, I can, without a shadow of a doubt say that this firm is perhaps the most chaotic and unprofessional firm I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I’m sure now, I’ll have a comment which will encourage me to get in touch to discuss the claims of this review, but unfortunately, the time to talk has passed. You kept avoiding me and now I have no interest in talking so that you can be seen in a manner which you firm’s ethics model does not represent.

absolutely dreadful service, spoke to some horrible lady on reception that was lovely to undermime me, wanted to make an enquiry to there owner neil as it was quite a complocated appeal, and mentioned how shes older than me and she can recognise a sales call when she hears one, no clue what shes on about but totally rude and hung up when i asked her name, i called from my office so iff you would like to hear the recording off it, by all means enquire!

Used twice for conveyancing (selling), once for probate and also some other small jobs. In terms of the conveyancing we generated competitive fixed price quotes from their website which ultimately were accurate upon completion.

Easy to deal with and responsive to all of our many questions without resulting in any huge addition to the bill. Likewise competitive on probate - happy for us to take over dealing with some of the easier aspects to reduce the ultimate bill.

We definitely had the benefit of their professional advice which due to their knowledge resulted in no tax to pay. They earned the costs of their service many times over - you can't ask for much more than this.

Unlike some other firms I found them responsive via multiple methods of communication such as email or phone. Used for a couple of small jobs since and would use them again should the situation arise.

Contacted this firm by email on 22 June. As there had been no response by 29 June, completed and sent the website form. On 6 July, there was still no response so I called which went to a voicemail for Eleanor on reception and left a message. But again no reply since. Will try another firm.
