Hunt & Coombs incorporating Massucco Buttress

A friend recommended Massucco Buttress when I was searching for conveyancing solicitors, and I was very happy with the service I received. They are a little more expensive than other conveyancers; however, after all the horror stories I have heard from friends regarding their conveyancing experiences, it is clear that you get what you pay for. They also operate on a “no completion, no fee” basis.

Mark Massucco dealt with my case, and both he and his staff were extremely proactive and informative. I highly recommend Massucco Buttress to anyone looking for conveyancing solicitors.

Both Amanda and Mark are excellent. We used Massucco Buttress for the purchase of our house (which was not entirely straight forward). They picked up potential problems very early on and dealt with them immediately, chasing the sellers solicitor and making sure everything was done properly. All communication with the office was timely and helpful. Highly recommend.

Amanda Buttress is very meticulous and extremely good value. She noticed a few subtle potential issues with the flat I was purchasing and her charges were much less than I have heard other solicitors charge from speaking to other property owners. The first flat purchase fell though (mortgage related, not her fault) and she didn't even charge me for her time on that property! I would thoroughly recommend.

I recently contacted Amanda for advice and support on a property sale and found her to be unresponsive, rude and unprofessional. I emailed on a Monday, left a voicemail on the Tuesday and when chasing on the Wednesday as I still hadn't received a response I got a very short and rude reply in minutes. I believe this comes at a time that Massuco Buttress are very busy however a short note to say that they will get back to you in due course or at very least someone not being so rude when you chase would be appreciated. Buying & selling a house is obviously an important step in anyone's life and although Amanda obviously deals with this type of thing daily and has perhaps it's not important to her however I think that it's a real shame that she can't have a little more etiquette and respect for her clients.

I would NOT recommend Mark Massucco for house conveyancing. A number of issues since purchasing our property, and when we tried to sort it out, Mark tried to sway that it was our fault for not doing our research properly! We thought solicitors were the ones who were meant to do thorough research! We also requested a Complaints Handling Procedure over a year ago, and we received no communication whatsoever to-date.

I have used Amanda Buttress over the years for both sales and purchases of properties - she is fantastic. She is very straightforward and her attention to detail is excellent. I appreciate her direct manner, if I'm honest, as I find it refreshing to get such clear answers to any queries I have, and she is clearly very knowledgeable in her work. This firm were recommended to me by friends, and they had worked with Mark in the past and also had only good things to say, so I'd say this firm are an excellent choice!

Amanda has represented us in a number of property transactions in the last few years, and we have always been hugely impressed with her thoroughness, clear communication and ability to meet deadlines (and prompt the other parties to do the same which is even more of a challenge!).
