Avoid like the plague. Russell Cooke Solicitors didn't work in my interests as they never advised me that I was unlawfully committed to trial contrary to section 6 Magistrates Court Act 1980 and they never advised that the prosecution had prepared a defective committal bundle.

When Russell Cooke Solicitors were caught out, they did not put things right. Instead, when I could prove it with hard physical evidence, they threatened legal action in an attempt to retrieve the incriminating evidence back as they knew the ramifications of what I can prove.

When that failed, I was tried in the Crown Court and guess who was on my jury? Yes, an employee who works for Russell Cooke solicitors in Kingston Upon Thames.

When I served a notice of publication to Russell Cooke Solicitors regarding this matter, they did not admit any liability. Instead Russell Cooke claim that they did not have enough time to consider the paperwork in my case.

Beware of Russell Cooke Solicitors. Because of them, I was tried when the proceedings were null and void in law.

I have just had my Will updated with Russell-Cooke in Kingston, and I was very impressed with the quality of the work throughout the process. This is not the first time I have used Russell-Cooke for this exercise, and I would certainly do so again. They also acted for me in 2013 on an injury claim, and achieved a very satisfactory result.

Having been involved in the property business for over 20 years I've been involved in many property transactions and have found Russell-Cooke to be among the best for expedience, communication and knowledge. We had to deal with Russell and Cooke through our house sale, they were representing our freeholder during a deed amendment. My solicitor could never get hold of the freeholders solicitor and when she would call the main office they would say he wasn't in or was unavailable. We wouldn't get a reply for him for weeks and he caused a 2 month delay on our house sale purely because he wouldn't complete the work in a timely manner. He also charged a very high fee for a deed approval. It caused us so much unnecessary stress just from lack of communication and efforts. We have reported the situation to the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Please watch out if you are considering using them.

My wife and I decided somewhat gloomily in summer 2020 that we should redo our wills that had previously been prepared by Russell Cooke some 10 years before. At the same time we completed LPAs which at long last have been registered by the OPG. The partner and his team in Kingston were very professional and responsive in rather tricky circumstances of partly WFH and partly in the office to deal with the necessary documentation. My wife and I were happy with the quality of the end result and also the final charge.
