I bought a used Lexus from a different franchise in 2019. Exeter is my nearest “local” dealer and so chose them for further services etc.
Last year all was good (considering lockdown etc)
This year, I received a call from Lexus and arranged a date to drop the car off, collect a courtesy vehicle and also accepted the offer of a complimentary full wash and valet.
Arrived at the dealership to find that no courtesy car was booked / available - which meant I couldn’t have it done and had to rebook service for this week. (The reason was apparently, a communication problem with the central booking team and their in-house team). The Service guy (Richard) offered me a 10% discount to compensate for the inconvenience (I live an hour away from this location, so it takes a bit of planning to get time off)
Arrived yesterday for 2nd attempt of service and collected courtesy car and left.
They are clearly a very busy dealership. However, when I arrived to collect my car, I assumed it had been washed and valeted. . . . Far from it! I think someone might have run a hose pipe over it, but it certainly wasn’t washed (still had seagull poo on the roof) and the only difference inside was the driver’s side mat had been vacuumed. When I went in to ask why it hadn’t been cleaned, they said it was down to a new team . . And they were very busy . . . SO AM I!
I paid £450 for the service, had to take a day out of my work to be there and they didn’t have time to clean my car.
I work really hard to own a premium / luxury vehicle and wouldn’t dream of doing half a job with any of my customers. It’s not OK to pass the buck and blame outside influences. Someone clearly doesn’t care about customer service and satisfaction.
I just hope they had “time” to actually service my car properly. 😕
Our follow up meeting to collect the car went very smoothly and Cameron gave us the information we needed about service plans etc. We love the car and so far, have no regrets. Thank you.
When the servicing and MOT were completed, I was given a complete run-down of what had been done in a very relaxed and friendly manner
