Always such a pleasure following a bit of a spat, I mentioned it and immediately noticed the improvement.
I work from home sometimes and it's great to walk down to library and use computer there for a couple of hours.

My daughter took her twin boys ages four weeks to be registered at the library. She couldn’t even get the double buggy into the building let alone into the lift to acccess the registrar. No double buggy access and buggy/wheelchair access to the lifts! How is this acceptable? Luckily she had someone with her but no one on their own requiring access of this type would be able to register their baby or a death. This is 2019. How is this right?

A great place to be if you want to read a good book or look up for info on you're favourite stuff.

The library is closed at the moment. It will be closed for two years whilst building works take place. In middle of November the library will reopen in the Royal Victoria shopping centre opposite Fenwick's in much smaller premises.

Always, helpful, friendly staff. A good choice of books, easy to use self checkout for borrowing, returning and renewing books.

The library reopened late April 2022 after going through a renovation period. Whilst I cannot comment on its previous state, the library in its current state is very good, albeit falling short in some areas.

It is very open plan in its design, utilises lighting well, and has some good accessibility features for physical impairments. However, some areas of the library has not made best use of its space, and suffers from a lack of table and chairs. They do have a dedicated study room, but again its limited in its size.

Overall it is one of the nicer libraries I have visited over the years, and I think benefits from having an art gallery attached to it. It just needs to consider how best to use the amount of space it has in its main room.

Also the library would be nothing without its fantastic and very helpful librarians! Praise the workers!

Library is very nice and spacious, more room for more books! Staffs are very helpful! But wish library has more children's classics & DVDs of classic movies.
