I wish the world was populated by people like the library staff who helped me.

It would be a far better place in which to live.

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, efficient and kind.

Confident late Victorian public building (1892) boasting a swank of decorative features and flourishes on the symmetrical facade, bequeathed by the “sugar-cube” tycoon, Henry Tate.
Grade II Listed functional library that forms an important aggregate element of the ongoing piecemeal “Windrush Square” development and improvements.
An veteran Plane Tree in front of the library noteworthy and one of London’s most acclaimed trees.

Quite a nice space, has some nice books and it is easy to register. Staff are ok. Really needs a clean though - the carpets upstairs smell of urine.

Got great help from reception and got a quiet place to read and work. Loved my experience at the library

I have been to this library dozen of times, and I never had any problem. However, the toilet is appaling, but apart from that, it is an excellent place to study, research or work on a project.

Some eloquent reviews have already written about the architecture, Windrush Square and the tree outside. My main praise is directed towards the literary events, which I have always enjoyed pre-pandemic. Looking forward to getting back onboard this Tuesday evening for another literary event.

An old building that's nice. It's quiet small to be honest and upstairs there's a study room.
