Thamesmead Library

Great service friendly staff, but donwside is that noisemakers are never called to orders, especially misbehaving kids running amok in the library

Its a temporary library as the old one was demolished. Its still providing a good service to the local community. I was able to book a computer straight away

I love the place, it is clean and quiet, and the books there are amazing. It deserves a 5 out of 5.

Great memories of going into the library from 1989 to 2010. They always had great activities for my daughters.

I find it to be the ideal place to just walk around or just sit and relax there has been lots of changes all around enjoy

This library is good, clean and decent but since the Covid 19 pandemic, the WiFi connectivity has become a major problem. It drops off, it is slow and prevents you accessing public emails and other sites. I use other libraries like Erith, Upper belvedere, Slade green and Abbey wood libraries and never encounter WiFi connectivity issues but once in Thamesmead, the WiFi connectivity becomes an issue. Something changed in the WiFi configuration that has affected the connection and this must be looked at. This has resulted in my never going there any more which is a shame as I really did prefer it to the others around.

Even if it is in a temporary location, staff is great and they have a lots of material. Lots of books and lovely area for kids. We still need to wait a little bit more to enjoy it!
