Ermine Library

Hidden in the backwaters of Lincoln, this previously jewel of a library has recently fallen into hard times. Staff are borderline rude and extremely unhelpful. They would even ration their wifi and wouldn't let you plug in your device to use. Since the library was revamped into an education and work hub (!) staff do not think to observe quiet and spend their time engaging in loud chatter. Avoid avoid avoid!

The Hub is a pleasant place to take your children to read and play. The staff go the extra mile to help you, be it looking for books, using the computers or laminating your documents. I visit the hub regularly and cannot say I have been disrupted in any way. I visited the library before it become The Hub. I miss it and its former knowledgeable staff, however, as I cannot travel to town to the Central library as often as I wish, for me using this Hub is a good alternative.

Things are different here since the County Council dumped their responsibility to provide a library service, but the staff are still as helpful as ever and it is a great place to take your children.
You can't please everyone though and you sadly, when it gets busy sometimes, you always get people in who think it's all about them.

Great local library, it's a little short of books at time but as long as you can order books in its very convenient.

This library is closed because of COVID until further notice. A shame Google maps says that it’s open.
