Amazing teacher

I am new to crochet and the pattern instuctions confused me totally. Crafty Cavy was so kind and offered to show me how to read them. What an amazing teacher. Very patient with me and so encouraging. You will Not find a better teacher. I am considering more lessons. I defo suggest her to anyone who is looking to learn.

Kay is a great teacher and very patient

I’ve wanted to learn to either knit or crochet for years but books and online tutorials had me all in a muddle. I settled on learning to crochet as it looked a bit easier (although I’m sure it’s much of a muchness). Kay was great at introducing me to the stitches and was very patient while I struggled to get to grips with even the most basic things like how to hold my yarn! She was happy to go at my pace and guided and suggested ways forward. I did two two hour sessions with Kay and by the end of the second session, I was happily crocheting double and treble stitches. Kay was very encouraging and showed me how to ‘translate’ crochet patterns, including suggestions for ways to make them more manageable.

Crocheting is my new hobby now. I’m continuing to practise and am finding it very relaxing and satisfying. Thank you very much for your help, Kay.

My blanket (knitted) needed a repair as the wool had unravelled and it was a complex zig zag knit. Kay repaired my blanket using the unravelled wool....it looks brand new!! I can't even tell where the repair was! I am so happy with Kays excellent work! Thank you Kay!
