The Wine Stop

This shop doesn’t even deserve the 1 star rating! However that’s the minimum I have “award” to leave a review.

Having visited on the 1st September at 19:10, upon entering I was “verbally accosted” by the shop worker who demanded I wear a face mask. I advised I am not obliged to wear one as I am a disabled customer protected under the Equality Act 2010 (in remission from Cancer).

I continued with my shopping, and placed my purchases on the counter and the shop worker paused the scanning of my items for approx 30-40 seconds. It seemed to me he was expecting a dialogue, apology or some recognition of the brief dialogue we exchanged upon entering the shop.

As the short period of time passed the shop keeper decided to remove my items from the counter and place them back on the shelf, he proceeded with “get out of my shop you C**T”. To say I was horrified would be an understatement.

Trader reported to Trading Standards & Staffordshire Police.

the store manager is racist and discriminatory. I tried to buy tobacco in the store. He’s asked me to prove my age.(I will be 31 in April) I came from Hungary so my ID was issued there. he said he never seen that kind of card before, he would not accept it. I went back to the store with my passport. He said he don’t like my attitude and he sent me out of the store. it was humiliating, so I will report the case.
