I live in a cul de sac of 5 houses serviced by one street lamp. The light bulb went out some 2 months ago. I phoned the County Council to arrange this to be attended to and was informed that the request had been logged. Almost two months down the line the fault has still not been fixed.

With the dark long evenings this has created a problem due to cars parked on the unlit road . The Council site states 20 days as the period within which such problems will be sorted.
My reporting this was almost 35 to 40 days ago. !!!
Poor service I am afraid .

wonderful building.very proactive road safety group partnership aiming to drive down death and injury on Hertfordshire roads. lose one star for the serco parking guy. not his fault there is no parking. But lack of flexibility and compromise isn't really helpful.

Hertfordshire County Council have little regard for residents of Hoddesdon. By way of permitting overnight works for High Leigh Garden Village, closing Lord Street and trying to get an incinerator built here.

In these difficult times of self isolation I was still able to go and enjoy the countryside, thanks to the wonderful foot paths that are maintained so well by the council.

My name is Cristina, I spoke to Bernadett about renewing my mothers bus pass. Bernadett did try to help but could not find any information on her records, she did email her manager and two other employee unfortunately they could find my mothers information, she apologised, told me that she would ring me back, Bernadett is a very polite, very helpful, she is a credit to the council, we need more people like her. if i could give her more stars i would have.
regards Cristina.

Was in Hertford yesterday 1st October.. We walked along the river which was lovely, I looked over
at the flats that were built and could not believe that the board of council that passed these building plans , there were no balconies over looking the river . I hope the new flats they are building have balconies overlooking the river so that people that live there can sit out on a sunny afternoon and relax and watch the ducks and walkers passing bye bye . Please give this a thought .

I would give them zero stars but that is not possible. Teying to contact council officers is impossible and they often ignore emails or fail to meet the dealine for replys. The faults helpline is the worst with the operators poorly trained and not knwing how to deal with complaints.
