Serco's refuse collection service is a complete joke. They've missed more collections than I can count and when they do finally show up, leave a mess behind all over the street.

The final insult is they haven't shown up for the post Christmas collection which fell on a Saturday, specified on their own flyer distributed to homes across the city.

This is what privatisation delivers folks. Dreadful service and zero accountability.

Garden Waste - how can one report a missed collection when there is a 36 hour window and our collection is due on a Friday. Cleverly the offices are closed for the weekend therefore the window is missed! Very disappointing. It would appear we have been missing collections since the start of the year. why do i have to give a "star" at all before i can post! the whole communication business with serco is a great waste of time too.

I've had to call serco regularly about various waste collection issues .. and I have to say that without fail they have always been polite and dealt with the problem as soon as possible. Even when I've been irritable the ladies who answer the phone have been great. It's true that We do have ongoing issues with missed bins etc but I imagine that the team do their best under tricky circumstances. Generally speaking We have been living in a culture of cost cutting for several decades now and there is not much room left for error (broken down lorry etc) Anyway . credit where credit is due ... and if you call them and are polite serco do listen and try to fix problems ... thankyou

Purple sacks haven't been delivered since forever, so called the customer service for 4 times, everytime they say it's going to be delivered very soon. Still never been delivered so called again and the lady on phone said if I can go down to wincheap then I can get some rolls from the office, waited two more days and still nothing so went all the way down to the office. Then the lady at the reception said she checked on the system and the sacks appeared to be delivered to my address, so if I want more bags I need to pay. Since I highly doubt the accuracy of their system I paid for one roll, then got home and surprisingly unsurprising that nothing was delivered. Honestly what's wrong with their system it's 2019.

Absolutely outrageous service! Reported missed collection the next day at 11am (so in the time frame of 36h) and got the generic response that they cannot collect my bin as reported out of the required time frame, someone closed my case and haven't heard from them since. Very smart way to avoid doing any work, bravo!!

They will always go the extra mile to avoid collecting anything.
Two large bins from some flats next to our property have been left more than six weeks before they decided to collect. Constantly missing other stuf because potato. Outrageous service.

Serco miss my food bin 99 % of the time. It sits on my pavement step in the heat for days until they can 'get around to it' by which time it's full of maggots and smells like somebody has relieved themselves in it. Maybe i should as a nice surprise for them next time?

Serco dropped our household waste bin into the lorry and didn't think to tell us. We phoned up and was told that we would get a replacement bin within a few days and after a phone call and again being promised a new bin by Tuesday last week and still no bin and not answering the phone still no bin. I even emailed the council but no joy from them either.
