No way of contacting trading standards for Surrey. The number is for Citizens Advice, which, whilst useful if you need advice, is useless if you are trying to report an organisation.

Reported Cowboy Builder “Loft Property “ to them. He was claiming falsely to be Niceic + Gas safe + FENSA and doing electrics illegally and they merely told him to wash the logos off his van!

This so-called 'service' should, itself, be reported to Trading Standards. It is a misuse of public money to finance a so-called 'service' that the public cannot contact. Unfit for Purpose hardly begins to describe this sham regulator. The only way for the public to submit a complaint about someone breaking the trading standards regulations is to phone the Citizens Advice Bureau, who may or may not pass on a complaint. And, totally unbelievably, you're told that you will not receive any feedback on the outcome. We should all be writing to BBC WATCHDOG to bring the UK's Trading Standards offices to account!

Absolute waste of time, took details and then said its Environmental Health gave me a telephone number of Epsom Council who had just given me Trading Standards number. So if you get food poisoning tough. This is where councils could have cut backs get rid of all these departments who do absolutely nothing I would not give it a star but it seems I cannot submit the review. Another con !!!!

Explained problem to woman on the phone. She didn't seem to grasp it and I asked her tell me what she'd typed. I had been very careful to say what I meant, but she typed things I hadn't said and not things I had said. She seemed to think this was ok - all a bit Alice in Wonderland and a complete and utter waste of time.

This phone number is not the number for Trading Standards. When you call it you sit in a queue and end up speaking to someone from a "help bureau" who are not part of trading standards.

Pathetic toothless organisation. ...no wonder they make tv programme about scams and rogues year after year after year ....shows how effective and professional they are...

I telephone them from my home in Surrey. I spoke to a little girl that works at a office in South Wales for the citizen advise bureau. I explained to her that a contractor that manufactured and fitted my bifolds are potentially seriously faulty and the panels could fall out of the track and basically kill me. She was not that interested and just talking about consumer rights. I explained I am not worried about consumer rights. But I am very worried about HEALTH and SAFETY!
