A great family run business. Exceptional old fashioned great customer service. Nothing to much trouble for Norman. Made a great job of refurbishing an old safe. It looks fantastic. New locks fitted quickly, profesionally and the lads were very tidy and polite. Would definitely recommend.

Great choice of goods. Very knowledgable and pleasant staff. Explained everything in detail, no pushing just gave all the options and answered all our question. First time we have used them but would go back again no problem. Bought a new cylinder and got keys cut. Key cutting was less than half price of what we had been paying. Excellent

Proceed with caution!! After using this company for years, an elderly family member called them out for a simple repair to an internal door handle. The locksmith arrived in a Blakeys Van - Was charged £90, given no receipt & asked to bring said handle into store to be fixed. When we called & questioned this conduct My Husband was fobbed off by the receptionist for a full week. I called & managed to speak with the Manager who promised to investigate & call me back. Another week later, nothing. We gave Blakeys multiple opportunities to put this right. The company has not behaved with integrity during any point of this incident. As founder members of the Master Locksmiths Association this conduct goes against their advertised principles of business.

Dreadful. Rip off! Dangerous! Had to have them back to put right and they then charged me again for their poor work.
Actually put on lock on on a bedroom door in away that was totally against law for building regulations when we highlighted this issue and our disatisfaction we were told it would be corrected at no charge. Then when he arrived finally to put it right. He charged me a further £90. Cost a fortune for a really messy job which has ruined our door and hasnt really solved our problem.
We had a rather simple problem of our cat wanting to get into my daughters bedroom. They charged £200 when a simple device can be bought far cheaper to prevent the handle being pulled by a cat, shich i have now found out only costs £10 including p&p so does not put my daughter at risk of being locked in a room if a fire occured.
I would not recommend use castle locks instead . Awful.

Unbeknown to me one of my my tenants arranged for this outfit to repair her door lock. When the guy arrived he removed the old lock and said there was also a problem with the mechanism and it was going to cost £300 to repair. The tenant then called me to ask me what she should do?
I said, you should have called me first then I could have arranged for my own handyman to do the work.
She was then charged £60 call out and the service technician left the door without completing the work, collected the cash and never gave her a receipt!!
I then contacted my handyman who was there within the hour replaced the faulty lock with a second hand one and only charged me £10!! ( not £300, which Blakey's had quoted)
I then rang Blakey's up to ask them why they had quoted £300 to repair the door and SURPRISE! SURPRISE ! the guy at the other end denied they ever said this and were only charging the tenant for the £60 call out.
BEWARE, DO NOT USE THIS COWBOY OUTFIT!!!!
