Could be a Fantastic place to go fishing.
Has brilliant Pertencial.

I avoid going to any of the Anglian Waters.
Avoid not correct word..
Never my first choice.. For several reasons.
Usally all there waters are poorly stocked with fish. You will find a board up saying they have put in 26000 fish, 4000 Returned, 1000 taken or words to the effect of..
Well I am sure this is bull.. Or they can't count.. Or have a big hole some where in all there 4 waters..
All there waters are beautiful.
You can't take this away..

One thing is extremely irritating..
There staff know "Everything" there is to know about Flyfishing.
But have never fished anywhere but there water.. And think you know nothing..
It's quite laughable some of the things they say.. If you question anything.. It's Fishery rules etc, etc.. Oh.. And there all Game instructors.. too. So you "have to" fish there way is the right way..
You have to cast like this.. And want to use your £700 Sage..Then Criticize your rod, Or your Reel.
It kinda ruins your day out.. When you just want a few hours away from the Mrs.. Do something that you love.. And would do a lot more but.. you have to go to work..

Now I prefer to drive 30 miles away to eyebrook.. Or Summer Fields Fishery Or Eleanor, Draycote.. Where stocking is what they say..

Anything Anglian Water.. take with a pinch of salt.
They will get your money by Surply water..if anyone fish it or not..
The others are proper run buisness. And need to stock properly to keep the customer returning. I personally would rather give my money to the smaller buisness man.. Because he needs the buisness. Than a multi million pounds rip off corporation with no honour..
Anyone can write numbers on a board to lie to there customers. 😜 Never mind see you next week. Just not your day today. That's fishing 😁.

Had a lovely day catching trout in the hot sunshine... Bit too hot at times. Great fishery with friendly helpful staff.

Though a little difficult to find, what a beautiful lake, the facilities were basic but clean and easily accessable, the boats were clean and the engines started easily and ran faultlessly all day. The trout fought hard and were all a good size, 3-4 was the norm. A great days fishing in a wonderfully attractive lake. Tight lines and happy landings.

I found it very difficult to find, and once arriving there was no or very limited parking. The reservoir was not in use as a fishing facility due to blue algae. The lodge was extremely basic. No place to take a family. Trout fishing only, I believe.

This is by far the best arrow fishing place around. Make sure to use Eagle Vision to see better, as the waters are fairly murky.

Always a terrific walk with new things to see and people to say hello to.

Fished here for the first time a couple of weeks ago . Unbelievably epic day full finned rainbows and a double overwintered browns. None stop action .👍👍😁

Great day out. Plenty of fish stocked. Friendly and welcoming service.
