After trying out a couple of other any method trout fishing lakes, Bewl is by far the best option, within 30 mi outside M25 😊

Great facilities, but the fishing is not as good as it used to be before the lockdown. I haven't seen a single trout showing up and haven't seen anyone catching anything including myself. Asked a few others at the end of the day and the answer was always the same- nothing! Too expensive for what it is at the moment. More fish should be introduced to justify the price, but if you don't mind coming home empty handed still a very nice place to relax and enjoy the countryside.

Definitely recommend,one of the few places that I have been to more than one where everyone has a good sense of the meaning of hotel hospitality. This if from gate security, ground security, office staff, shop assistance, as well as boat hire for fishing. Well done keep it up and thank you for such a wonderful experience on my own as well as with my family.
