It was very comfortable and beautifully equipped. Everything in the pod was of the highest quality. We particularly loved the luxurious towels - and the amount of them! The breakfast was first class and served by the very friendly proprietor. Everything was supberb!

We stayed in two of the pods for a couple of nights while attending a local wedding. The pods were stunning and the facilities superb! Our hosts, David and Gabby were wonderful and really couldn’t do enough. The two days were perfect and a real pleasure to use before and after the wedding. The breakfasts were superb. We would definitely have no problem in recommending Oak Lodge Pods to anyone and will definitely be looking for an excuse to return soon.

David and Gabby were great hosts, we were there for a 2 night stay to fish. they had all the equipment and bait caught a big sturgeon the Pods were fantastic everything you needed was there, will definitely go back the breakfast was beautiful great value for money

David and Gabby are fantastic hosts and lovely people to be around. Nothing is ever an issue. The pods are so comfortable and warm, and spotlessly clean. We also had everything we needed to make a fire pit for the evening too which was a lovely bonus. Lovely place to be for peace and quiet. If you also like to fish (which I tried and found quite fun) you can do a little carp fishing. Breakfast is also included which was just delicious and cooked by the lovely Gabby herself. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a little break away from reality, this is the place to be!!

Just had a fantastic 2 night stay in pod 1 as a belated present for my partners birthday. We loved everything about it! The pod was beautiful and very clean and homely - stacked with wine, chocolate, biscuits and all the tea/coffee and cereal you want. Gabby and David were perfect hosts and couldn’t have been any more accommodating. Breakfast was great; I had a full English one morning and beans on toast the next as requested. The fishing was great too and everything you could need was supplied. Very relaxing and we had the whole lake to ourselves for our stay. The fire pit was a great touch too, we had a couple of bbq’s and sat around the fire at night. Would 100% recommend to anyone seeking a quiet retreat away from home. 10/10.

Just returned from a 3 night break at Oak Lodge pods, all we can say is we did not want to leave!! We have been on several weekend fishing breaks and this is by far our absolute favourite to date. David and Gaby are by far the best hosts you could ask for, we felt like we were visiting friends.The accommodation is immaculate and stocked with goodies for all to enjoy, extremely comfortable and ample space throughout. Breakfast served each morning is above and beyond quality, sets you up for the whole day. Fishing was excellent, in stunning surroundings. Will be returning for sure.

Anyone planning on booking here for a relaxing stay or to fish you will not be disappointed we arrived to a warm welcome the pod was immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard the bed was so comfy with fresh Egyptian cotton sheets and a warm cosy duvet, the underfloor heating was a very nice touch, we spent a lovely day fishing around the well kept lake and even caught a few sturgeon of a fantastic quality and size Dave was very helpful and had a fantastic range of equipment to help and guide us if we needed it. Gabby cooked a top quality full English breakfast. Dave & Gabby are fantastic friendly hosts we will definitely return to catch the monster that got away 🤣

Me and my wife are just back from a 2 night stay at oak lodge pods was perfect from when we got there until we left. David was so helpful with supplying myself with the fishing equipment and spending time telling me about the pool and the fish in there and also making sure we had everything we needed in the pod. The breakfast was lovely and cooked to perfection we will definitely be back and recommending oak lodge pods. And to top it off I caught of the bigger stergeon from the pool. Nothing was to much thank you.
