Finlake Holiday Lodges

We stayed in an updated lodge so prestein. Can't fault it. Wonderful view from the balcony or while in the hot tub. I felt removed from the world to a tranquil heaven of a place.

I went with my mother and toddler to use the new facilities. Many people had told me how much improved the swimming pool is, and yes it certainly is so much better. The new children's waterpark looks amazing and so much fun, but the water was cold. Not even tepid, but actually cold! The main pool was warmer but more suited to swimmers and when you have gone especially to use the kids pool it is very disappointing. We left early as my child was shivering. Such a shame.

I also think if Finlake are trying to target a more family friendly audience then perhaps they should consider some kind of child friendly restaurant with a soft play area.

It’s been a truly wonderful week. The log cabin (23) was a great size for a family of five. We visited during the COVID pandemic so we’re not able to take advantage of the services within the park, but we will be looking to revisit in the future - when the world returns to ‘normal’.

Woodland View 46, lovely Lodge, well cared for, tidy. Would recommend staying there. Call Hoseasons and ask for it. Finlake is a child friendly place to stay, we have been going there for 17 years now. Even now the kids are grown up, they still love it.

Good location for exploring Dartmoor and South Devon, lodges are a good size, decent facilities at the park, however cleaning could be better, some elements of the lodge were poor standard.
We had a 2 bed lodge with hot tub, it was a great size, the hot tub was big, kitchen was well equipped but there were snags. The mattresses were cheap and frankly awful, various little things in the lodge were broken (lights, remote controls. It also wasn't the cleanest, plus I found the toilet cramped. I get the feeling the quality of lodge will vary depending on the private owner and I'm sure some will be equipped better than others.
As for the park there's a good shop/cafe, serving okay food. Plus there's a onsite restaurant, a swimming pool with slides, a gym and lots more. There's also great walks around the park for your dog.
So a great option with many plus points, but the quality of your accommodation could be a lottery (seemingly from okay to great)

So relaxing and easy access to great locations

No heating, showers not working, no gas so no cooker.
Electric heater not working.
Nothing done about it after being notified .
Been told lots of different excuses.
Lots of people having same issues.
People leaving before time because of the cold cabins.
