Booked the farmhouse and annexe for a long overdue family reunion. Lovely place to stay in with very good space downstairs to socialise in and the bedroom/bathroom arrangements were excellent. A great location with plenty to do in the surrounding area plus fantastic views from the house. Jan and the team were so nice and we were made to feel most welcome.

We have had the most amazing weekend for our best friends hen do! We actually booked this over 2 years ago before we were locked down. The communication was absolutely fantastic which put me at ease straight away and Jan worked with me and kindly switched the dates with no hesitation.
We booked the lighthouse barn for 16 of us and it certainly didn't disappoint! The views were absolutely stunning with amples of room and it had everything we wanted. Jan suggested a fantastic local hot tub hire company that we used and it finished it off nicely! Also some other recommendations too that we also used. So thank you for these Jan. :)
We were so impressed with the high standard throughout and every last detail didn't go unnoticed. It had everything we needed and more.
The information that was provided by Jan was also brilliant and, again, in so much detail, making the planning of a hen do so much easier!
Thanks again, I will look forward to booking in the future. :)

I recently organised a stay at Lighthouse Barn and The Coach House at Uppermoor Farm for my sisters hen weekend. Our group of 20 friends and family could not have wished for better for our 3 day mini break.
From the point of enquiry, all the way through to arrival and throughout our stay, Jan and Edward have always been quick to respond to queries and been really helpful and generally lovely people to meet.
The properties we stayed in, exceeded expectations and our whole group were blown away by the high standards as well as the beautiful and exceptionally maintained surroundings.
It was the perfect place for us to chill and have fun in equal measure. Jan and Edward recommended a brilliant chef to us who came on our first evening and prepared a delicious dinner for us which was a lovely start to our celebrations.
Jan and Edward were so pleasant, saying hello and chatting with any of our group they encountered out and about at the property during our stay, even assisting us with an extension cable at 9pm so we could satisfy our desires for karaoke!
We were all reluctant to leave and will definitely keep their details for other future family/friends trips in the future. Cannot recommend this property, it’s owners or the surroundings more!

16 extended members of our family stayed at Uppermoor Lighthouse Barn in middle of Aug 2022. The whole process from enquiry to booking and the stay was faultless. Jan and Ed were the perfect hosts and the property was amazingly clean, large and done up to a modern taste. The kids were in awe and immediately posted pictures to friends on Instagram. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils needed and there is also a barbecue. Beds were comfortable and seating in the lounge/dining area is ample - in fact this is the main hub and selling point of the home.
The views and surroundins are so scenic with fields all around, you will forget all your worries. We had a food delivery arranged here, but there are supermarkets around 15 mins drive in the main town of Ashbourne if you have forgotten anything.
I would without hesitation recommend a stay at the Lighthouse Barn for up to 16 people. For larger groups the main Uppermoor farmhouse is available - we had a peek at the property whch is just a few steps away. This has a more rustic/cottagy feel about it and was equally lovely.

Uppermoor Farm is one of our favourite places for a ‘staycation’ and is a fantastic choice for a large family and friends group. The standard of the accommodation is excellent and the gardens are also great, with outside space for barbecues, dining and an optional hot tub (see photos!). There are good walks in the surrounding areas, with pubs and shops a short drive a way. We always have a wonderful time there and will certainly be returning! Thank you Jan and all the team!

The most amazing place for a group get-together. Apart from the fantastic views the accommodation is first class. We were a group of 7 families including youngsters and it was perfect. The owners live on site and are responsible for the beautiful planting around the gardens. Also their own selection of furniture. So friendly and helpful too.

The views, the well laid out spaces, options on single beds or doubles in most rooms, each bedroom has their own bathroom. It worked really well for the 3 generational christmas gathering. Jan has thought of everything and is near at hand for any queries. we were even able to erect a full size Punch & Judy booth in the living room. The ground floor spaces flow one onto another providing a quiet corner when required and a generous space for the long tables. Excellent

After a year's delay due Covid, we finally arrived to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday as a happy band of 19 revellers ready to party in post pandemic style! Uppermoor Farm was the ideal location for us, we hired the main farmhouse, plus the Annex and the Coach House. Everyone commented on the comfort, the layout and the ambiance which the setting provided. We sang, ate heartily, walked our socks offs and celebrated being human again. Thanks to Jan, Val and the team for 3 days and nights that we will treasure! xx
