The river and the houses make a sort of buffer which isolates you from the noise coming from the traffic and the city.

Kids love it here, especially seeing the helicopters

Too much low income housing being built with unsightly architecture having to look at. Shame as the area is now losing its appeal.

Absolutely sickening that in 2021 ,Vanessa Brady, the chair of directors of this nonsensical site, thought it was okay to name building sites after key words from slavery such as "cotton row", "trade tower" and "plantation wharf“...The directors deliberately used these names to offend. Out of millions of names that could be used I find it hard to believe that NO ONE thought that this would be offensive in the slightest. Absolutely vile. Another example of white people in a certain position showing their disregard and how little respect they have for black people.

In 2022 as a black female I am completely utterly disgusted by the name of this racist housing development. I refuse to believe that this was a simple “mistake” anybody that is in the position to be involved in such development will more than have the mental capacity to see what is wrong here.

Terrible development but the name is a great reminder of our history.

Nice place to enjoy the river walk and take in the sometimes discreetly hidden restaurants which serve the locality. A restful and unbusy experience with the Waterfront and Ship pubs (both fantastic) within five minutes walk on the river walk. Just follow your nose. Great!!

Interesting place with good bits of architecture by the Thames
