I stayed for two nights at the Shepherd's Hut and it was fantastic. Catriona has really thought about everything you might need to make it a restful stay. The setting is very quiet and peaceful, I'll definitely be going back this year.

Just returned from an amazing stay at Abberton Shepherds Hut.
We stayed for a long weekend to visit the RHS Malvern Flower Festival and see a bit of the surrounding area.
This is our 3rd Shepherds Hut stay and without doubt THE BEST... 5* The hut was surprisingly spacious (Alec hand-made the hut and mentioned the higher than standard ceiling height..) with everything you could wish for, for a more than comfortable stay. The memory foam mattress made for an extremely comfortable nights sleep. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could possibly need to prepare meals and we made use of the fantastic outdoor covered seating area at the end of the private garden .. you also have the option to use the pizza oven or fire pit BBQ. Plenty of wood is supplied for the wood burner in the hut or the to use in the pizza oven/fire pit.
We visited Wye Valley and climbed the Malvern Hills whilst we in the area - such a beautiful part of the UK.
Our stay was just perfect and Alec & Catriona are just the perfect hosts. We wish we could have stayed longer and had time to take Evie (Alec & Catriona's friendly sheepdog) for some walks.. but will definitely be back to this magical place.
We can also highly recommend the Breakfast Hamper.. the sausages were so tasty!

Stayed for 2 nights but wished we had added a few extra days. I cannot recommend the hut highly enough. It reminds me of the Tardis..looks small from the outside but inside it is very roomy and packed with all the essentials you could possibly want for an enjoyable stay. Its the perfect location too,Hilliers Farm Shop and restaurant is only a 5min drive. We will definitely be returning and hopefully with our grandson.

The perfect little getaway. Alec and Catriona owners/hosts have thought of everything, the craft work that Alec has put into the Shepherd's hut is fabulous, and Catriona's finishing touches are both inspired and welcoming; it's such a delightful place we decided we could quite happily sell our home and live here!

We will certainly be recommending this to family and friends.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the start of August. Really brilliant 'get away from it all' experience. Hut has everything you need and it's set in gorgeous surroundings. Alec, Catriona and Evie the dog are fantastic hosts and made us feel more like one of the family than holidaymakers. My lad will remember it for a long time, he got to play and walk with Evie, pick eggs from the chickens and pat an enormous bull's head!

It's not far from a wonderful farm shop, the Malvern hills (well worth a visit, incredible views) and the delightful market town of Alcester. There's so much nearby to see we're already planning a return visit! If you want to escape into the country for a few days, this is a great choice.

What a fantastic place, from the moment we arrived and we were greeted by Cathroina and Alec they're both so warm and welcoming. The hut was spotless and so relaxing.. Our daughter spent her days playing with Avie the dog and riding a bike that Cathroina lent us, our daughter was sad when we were leaving, we spent 4 nights. We enjoyed being shown round the farm by Alec which was very interesting.. We had such an amazing time on our stay we have rebooked to go back in December for two nights.
