This place is amazing. Stayed there for a friend’s 50th bash. The house is one of the Landmark trust’s collection. Furnished beautifully with its own bowling ally. The place was massive, huge kitchen and an amazing array of bedrooms and wings. It was cold outside, but we were definitely cosey inside with a huge fire in the main lounge.I’d definitely recommend this venue for anything special, what are you need to accommodate quite a lot of people. It was well worth it, and fairly close to London by car if that’s where you’re coming from.

I loved it. We often stay in Landmark Trust properties but this one is rather near home and too big for our usual group. However, it would be great for a celebration. There seemed to be more bathrooms than bedrooms! The bowling alley was a great surprise.
