We stayed at Exe Valley glamping for a week in August 2019, and it was absolutely wonderful. The tents themselves are very well equipped and tastefully done. We loved the shower - the water was heated with a wood burning stove that is in the shower room, so there was a great little ritual to get it all going, and you somehow appreciated the hot water more!

The setting is also fantastic, with a lovely view out over the rolling hills. There is a decking at the front of the tent, with comfortable furniture - the perfect spot to enjoy the evening and relax.

We were a family of 4, with 2 young daughters (7 and 4), and it was idyllic for the kids. The hideaway / cabin bed is always a winner, and there is plenty of space outside for the kids to run and about and play.

The area is great, with lots of places to visit from the camp site. It really does make for a fantastic holiday, truly rememberable. Patrick, the host and owner, is a lovely guy, very helpful. We recommend this very highly, and we will be going back I am sure.

Lovely glamping tents and nice and warm with the wood stove and hot water heater. Great chatting to the staff. Good recommendations from Andy for the local area. Nice quiet site and good access to the river. Veranda setup is great for lazy afternoons and long breakfasts!

We have just returned from an awesome stay here. The tents are beautiful, they have everything you need to make a camping trip extremely comfortable but still give plenty of opportunity for feeling like you are on an adventure! The beds are very comfortable and the shower is beautiful! Within walking distance is the village of bickleigh where we went to the lovely pub the fisherman’s cot and the bistro at the mill, both excellent food. We also visited the train place which is great for small children. AgaIn within walking distance is a lovely stream/river to play and swim in. The campsite is quiet and we barely heard or saw the others that were there. Honestly it’s wonderful, we will definitely be booking for next year!

This Glamping experience was the best we have ever had . The tents are amazing . More like boutique hotel ! Equipped with all you need . Bedrooms , kitchen , beautiful shower and bathroom . A cabin bed fir children . Electricity , fridge , stove , fire pit , hammock . Even a butler sink . Beautifully designed and set in amazing green space with fantastic views close to a river in woodland which you can swim in . The service was also fantastic . Great people We are definitely booking again. . Great value for a family holiday .

We are returning visitors each year to EVG with friends of ours who also bring their children, this spot is off the beaten track and is a great place for the children to run free in a safe environment and enjoy themselves! The accomodation is clean and well maintained and the beds are the most comfortable we've stayed in! So amazing to crawl into these beds after full days on the go. I would highly recommend this place for families but also perfect for couples and friends to hang out and relax (possibly not suitable accomodation for those with mobility issues due to the access to the field unless they have a motorised device with chunky tyres). We love going down to Bickley Mill for breakfast and along the river to swim, but also there's tons of other places to visit within easy driving distance. Also the pub is in easy walking distance. On the last night of our stay my eldest son saw a shooting star which was really special! We will continue to return again and again.

We've just come back from spending an amazing week here. The tents are spacious and clean and put the glam into glamping! They have everything you need and are in the most beautiful setting. We enjoyed leaving our car at Bickleigh Mill and walking back along the river. It was great to enjoy a different part of Devon, away from the coast, but there was still so much to enjoy. We finished with breakfast at The Lost Kitchen (recommended on their site) and what a great finish that was!!

We loved the stay thanks so much. The tent was clean and very spacious while still providing an authentic wilderness feel. I absolutely loved the morning and evening routine of lighting up the stove and shower fires! Nice walks and pubs around and about too. Lovely break, many thanks.

Excellent Glamping !

The site was everything it’s advertised to be. We enjoyed the well appointed “tent” which had very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable living area.

For our family of four his was a great site and well situated for travel around Devon.
