Spent last week in Cowslip Cottage. The welcome on the Friday was warm, with fresh bread, milk, cake and eggs ready for us.
The cottage was comfortable, tidy and well fitted out, I'd happily stay there again.
Levisham itself is a lovely village (though I expect the roads to it are interesting in the snow!). about 7 miles into Pickering - which is a typically nice Yorkshire town with most of the shops you need. It's about 30-40 minutes to walk down to the railway station, where if you get the timing right you can have a very pleasant day in Whitby.
I'd happily stay there again.

Rectory Farm is a lovely B&B set in a very quiet village. There's a great Pub for meals and several walks over the North York Moors can be taken straight out the front door.

About 30 mins away on foot is the pretty Levisham station for the Steam Railway across the Moors to Whitby.

There's plenty of room for parking.

Lovely cottage, nice area and seemingly decent owners. Do not however, book a provisional date for your next trip, even if you get a conformation email because they do not honour it if someone comes along in the meantime. We were not contacted to enquire if we still intended coming - we did. We had no communication from the owners, despite being badly let down and because of the aftermath of COVID, we cannot find an alternative! We have had no offer of compensation or even a deal for another visit. Give these owners a very wide berth.
