From booking to leaving, everything was perfect. Wonderful host, couldn't do enough for us, answered all our queries promptly and professionally. Our pod was spotless, very relaxing and well equipped. Beautiful and comfortable linen and towels. Everything you could possibly need. Perfectly situated to get into Southwell and surrounding areas.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Liked: The pod was fantastic and spotlessly clean, the area was nice. Everything you needed was provided. The town is just down the road and has some lovely shops and places to eat. The owners and their dog were lovely
Would definitely go again.

Disliked: The only thing I would say is it says it was for four adults. The second bed for two adults was ‘compact’ Ideal for one adult or two children perhaps.

Recently stayed for a couple of nights with 2 small children and dog. The pods were fantastic, clean and contained everything you need for a self catering break.
Lindsay was on site to help with any issues (not that there were any!)
Great location with Lincoln only 15 mins away, Sherwood Forest only 20 mins away and less than an hour from Peak District (we enjoyed Bakewell and Padley Gorge).
Would highly recommend and we will return again at some point!

Liked: This is an amazing place to stay - the pod has everything you could possibly want. I will certainly be returning and recommending to others. I like the ease of the check in process and the fact that the owner text me earlier in the day to say the pod was ready!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike - the pods are amazing

Fantastic!
Safe and secure site accessible only through electric gates and in a lovely location on the outskirts of Southwell, which is not only within walking distance but also has a range of interesting routes to choose from.
The pods themselves are cosy and warm and feel extremely spacious considering all facilities are inside (small kitchen area with hobs, fridge freezer, sink and draining board and a very compact bathroom with WC, sink and shower), however it is maybe worth pointing out that people of a larger build might struggle to get in and out of the shower as the door opening is not very wide due to the limited space..
Dogs are welcome, which is always a bonus, and there is plenty of open grass area for them to run around.
Fire pits are also available so on dry evenings it's possible to relax by the flames with a drink and listen to the owls and the sound of distant bells from the minster..
Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here

Liked: The pod was gorgeous! Had everything necessary to make our stay comfortable and the extras I ordered were perfect.
The pod was spotless and the book file about the local area was a good to have.
The owner was also very lovely. I had a problem figuring something out and I sent a quick text and she called me straight away and also came over to us in the morning and suggested some lovely places for breakfast, couldn’t have asked for more!

Had 3 nights here from NYE. What an absolute pleasure. The Pods were spotless and surprisingly spacious. The host Lyndsey could not have been more hospitable. The location is just outside the centre of Southwell but close enough to walk in 10-15 minutes. I can imagine summertime here is spectacular, lovely views, open air and plenty to do on the doorstep. Sherwood Pines was a hit with the kids. 1st time glamping and it won't be the last and I'm certain Southwell Retreat will be visited again.
