I had a great days fishing here .
The Bailiff is super friendly and knowledgeable .
The 2 ponds you can fish are well stocked with a good range of fish, from King Carp to Gudgeon, and the ones I caught were in excellent condition, Fin perfect .
I will definitely be going back .

We booked a holiday for Riverton in 2021 due to getting a moving date that fell on our holiday date, they allowed us to amend our holiday to 2022. We agreed new dates and price for 2022. I had paid for the holiday in full for 2021, so just needed to pay the balance for the new cost agreed in writing for 2022. I contacted the owner to pay the balance to be told my price was no longer valid and I had to pay a different amount for my holiday. Having worked in travel for 20 years I have never heard anything like this and when I questioned it, was told I was throwing my toys out the pram. I asked if I cancelled what would I get back to be told I would lose everything I had paid and it wasn’t their problem I had paid more than the deposit. I was told if they could re-book the cottage with someone else I could have some more money back but if not I wouldn’t see a penny. A pricegreein writing is the price. I have all the messages and I wasn’t rude at any point. I have since be blocked when I questioned - guess I won’t be seeing a penny back even if they do fill the dates with someone else. Poor service!!
*Edit* I DIDN'T WANT TO CANCEL MY HOLIDAY, we either paid extra which had not been agreed or I lose all my money! I contacted you 4 weeks before our arrival date last year and 6 weeks before this year.
I’m not bitter I am cross that you wouldn’t have a conversation and blocked us. You have stolen our money as your terms and conditions state: “Balance 28 days before travel and if you cancel up until this time you will lose your deposit”! I was happy to lose the agreed deposit amount (25%) as I wasn’t happy to give you another penny over the price agreed for 2022. But was told you are keeping ALL my money and that it’s my own fault I have paid more than the minimum deposit!!!

Have been here fishing a few times, too many swims for the size of the lake and too close together, it’s a nightmare when it’s busy getting lines tangled with other people fishing. Not enough parking either when it’s busy. It’s all about the profit!! There are better places to fish.

First here for the first time this week and what a pleasure it was. The lakes were immaculate as we're the quality of the fish I caught. Definitely going back

Great place to fish, float and willow lake good for tench and carp. And the fish are in pristine condition.

Great fishing . Fish and grounds are well looked after very nice people. Should go for a visit when it re opens.

Just returned from our second stay at Riverton lakes. Last time we stayed in Mole cottage and this time in the Lodge. Absolutely love staying here. It's quite and peaceful but near enough to local amenities . The cottages are very well equipped and very clean. My husband loves the fishing in the beautiful and well kept lakes while I enjoy exploring the local area.Jackie the owner is lovely and very friendly. Will be back next year.

We booked all 3 cottages and they were very well equipped and in a very quiet location but close enough to Barnstaple and surrounding area for trips out. If your into fishing I would recommend a stay there. Owners were there if you needed anything but not intrusive .
