Lovely cottage feel with modern bits. Fantastic new kitchen which we were the first to use. Great location to get around and has amazing views across to Holyhead and in the distance (on a clear day) Ireland. Well equipped for our stay and will return!

Hen ysgol has been a fantastic place for me and my family to stay on a number of occasions with a recently updated modern features, incredibly spacious gardens and lovely views. we will be sure to return once again hopefully very soon. The home is pet friendly with incredible owners who are on hand to help you with anything at any time. Huge parking area with secure gates.

Looks lovely on outside, set in lovely place we arrived 23rd July, once entering the property we were shocked at how untidy and dirty place was, we complained to lady, which her reply was I'll get a cleaner out in couple of days, we weren't going to live in it so we had to hoover, clean wipe down property, clean the bathrooms and toilets, disregard of rubbish that wasn't ours, we had to change one of the beds due to stained sheets, we couldn't change any other as when you opened cupboards to find bedding it was all yellow stain and used, the whole property is damp cold and full of mould from top to bottom as my child is asthmatic this is not fit for purpose and isn't good for health, and it certainly isn't worth the money we payed and the owner just gives unreasonable excuses. My child could not play due to doggy foul which is only removed once a fortnight when the gardener attends the property it's a disgrace and holiday was ruined.

My family and I have visited Hen Ysol on a number of occasions. We absolutely love how homely it feels. The house is very spacious and very clearly being modernised. The new kitchen is a beautiful addition! The views from the house and the gardens are beautiful with lots of amazing beaches where we regularly go on coastal walks and watch the sunsets. I would highly recommend a relaxing family holiday to Hen Ysol. We can’t wait until our next visit!

Arrived at property, very shocking to find the property in the condition it was in, very mouldy, damp throughout the property, after ringing and speaking to owner, who wasn’t really interested as she lives miles away wasn’t very helpful and expected us to wait couple of days for a cleaner, we ended up cleaning the property our selves from top to bottom, hoovering mopping and cleaning bathroom’s and toilets, it’s a disgrace, we had dirty bedding which lady said there was clean ones in cupboard, we could only change 1 single bed as all the bedding’s were dirty and yellow stains on them, the grounds to the property was lovely but it was covered in dog poo, this property needs a massive refurbishment it’s not fit for purpose and way to expensive for the condition the building is in.

Hen Ysgol has been an absolute gem! We have been so lucky to be able to spend our holiday here. The house is large and easily accommodates 2 families. If you are thinking about bringing Grandparents, there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom (so no need for pesky stairs). The garden is spacious which allowed for cricket, football, rugby and a spot of croquet. It is an enclosed garden, so excellent for dogs. It has great views of Holyhead and the sunsets are spectacular!! There is also ample parking.
It is very easy to get to from the A55 and is convenient for beaches and shops (only a short drive to Holyhead).
I would recommend spending 2 weeks here if you are going to come - you will not want to leave after only 1 week. I don’t want to leave after 2 weeks 🥰🥰
