Would recommend to anyone. The room was beautiful, everything was well thought through! Couldn’t want for anything more.
Set in the most beautiful location, the best B&B I’ve stayed at !
So good we stayed another night.

We will be back 😁

Absolutely beautiful b&b with the most fantastic hosts. Winnie is the most adorable little dog! Room was exceptionally clean and the little details (such as staying in the duck room with a duck cloth in the morning with breakfast) was lovely. Good selection choice for breakfast.
The views from the room are wonderful and the pond area at the bottom of the garden is a lovely way to spend a relaxing evening.

We spent a blissful few days at Cwmbach lodge for our mini moon. Beautiful rooms, huge, comfy bed, incredible breakfasts, friendly hosts (and Winnie the whippet!) all set in the most beautiful location. What a gem! We will be back soon!

Well hidden, but glad I found it with the help of Clare,a very nice welcome and I went to get wax removed from my ear. Clare explained everything very clearly. After washing my ear out I felt much better, an excellent job done and very professional, thank you Clare

Amazing b&b in such a beautiful location. Our hosts Claire and John were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble! Fantastic choice for breakfast and the view from our room was perfect. I hope to stay here again soon and would highly recommend this amazing b&b!!

This is the British B&B at its best. Just three rooms, each with their own seating area inside and out (delicious breakfast is delivered to the door so you can eat in peace enjoying the lovely view). One room has a bath as well as shower in the new, huge bathroom (Butterfly). It's so nice when a place exceeds expectations. We found it hard to believe the hosts are relatively new to hospitality as they have nailed it - everything was just right. Spotless, tasteful room with comfy bed, huge gorgeous bathroom, wonderful views of the stunning garden and beyond to the mountains. Lots of small details that make the difference between nice and excellent - an honesty bar so you can have a drink on your own terrace, fresh milk and chilled water in the fridge on tap, tea coffee biscuits to help yourself to.
Combine the luxury of the fittings with the warmth and helpfulness of the owners and you have a winning combination. Many B&Bs remind you that you have a room in their house - you're expected to be out all day and only appear at breakfast. Here the owners have done it the other way around - they give you all the privacy and peace you need - we really liked the absence of a breakfast room, for example , since the room itself is so spacious and well done, you will want to linger there - and yet they welcome you to share the lovely garden as if it were your own.
John and Clare were so helpful, allowing us to arrive early and have an e-bike delivered long before allocated check-in time, and they were on hand to help when I stupidly lost my phone in Hay.
There's no big greasy fry up, but instead the breakfast tray arrives with the heady aroma of proper coffee and croissants straight from the oven. Or bacon sarnies on home-made bread, a smoked-salmon bagel or a perfect little pot of bircher muesli. Or all of them...we were very full each morning and didn't miss the full English.
Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars is either having a bad day for reasons that have nothing to do with the B&B, or they are impossible to please. We thought it was one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. If you're looking for a base to explore this beautiful part of the UK, just book in here and feel very smug that you did.
